From what I understand the *s were only put in by the producers of the movie because they thought it looked better on the poster; the books and the real hospitals had no *s at all, and neither did the actual name of the movie. The TV producers liked that look, so they made the *s part of the official name of the show (and the opening credit sequence, of course), but they don't actually mean anything at all. Here's the poster:
I always thought it was an acronym. Mobile Army Surgical Hospital. I guess I was misinformed. Thx, Jeff. 13
MASH is definitely an acronym, for (as you said) Mobile Army Surgical Hospital, but the *s were never used in any military capacity, and the author of the books never used them either.
Please tell me you fuckers aren't waiting on me to start this shit. Don't you know a mic drop when you see one?
Timing is everything. I'm not playing DP 2018, but if there's a 2019, it needs to start on New Year's Day, and there needs to be a keeper rule.
something about having keepers in a death pool makes me smile. poor hawkings, should have made it another hour and died on pi day
I'm all for a keeper league in 2019, @NYJalltheway can start it since he dropped the ball on this years pool.
While you were away nobody wanted to start it, and I was appointed to do it, but I was not motivated enough. I hardly have motivation to get out of bed, much less tag a bunch of people to try and get an active thread going.
