you now know one. I won't rub it in their face. They'll refer to 2007 and then I have to shut my face.
I have no hate for the Giants or their fans, cheered like hell when they beat the Pats. But I also don't like being talked down to, or like being a lovable loser. Giants fans(like all fans) have short memories. They think they are the Yankees of football(they aren't). I was just a tweak and after an hour of Francesa"s bloviating, it was deserved.
the announcer last night said the new stadium will have four tunnels for players to come out onto the field. the jets will have their own tunnel. the giants tunnel is the one with a large cotton string hanging out of it.
correct me if i am wrong but the giants didnt and or dont own giants stadium, the njsea does. we were never tenants in the giants stadium we simply signed a lease a few years after the giants whom the building was originally built for. the njsea decided that they would leave the name giants stadium due to the fact that they were the "main" leasee and there before the jets so they never changed the name. i am sure the giants ownership had something to do with that but i really dont think that the jets were tenants of the giants. i dont hate the giants, my mom is a jets and giants fan, i have always hoped for the giants to win in the superbowl. its the arrogant giants fans that are the problem. i know one chick who just cant shut the fuck up even when they lose. she annoys me. that is about the extent of the hatred for the giants. most of their fanbase has been fans for years or generations, i typically hate teams with bandwagon followings. and the dollfags.
Now that I've calmed (mostly because Bill Sheridan has been fired) I'd like to apologize for being an antagonistic dick. But you're dead wrong about Eli. He just had arguable the best year of his career despite being injured, having no defense to back him up, having questionable offensive line play, and having a VERY inexperienced WR group. I have to say again, Sheridan is gone! Happy Black Monday!!
I don't know too many, but I have to say I know a few Jets' fans that are treating the end of this season in a non-dickhead fashion.
As a Giants' fan I don't like hearing how Jets' fans are somehow "better fans" than I because they are rooting for a team that didn't win a Super Bowl two years ago. We all have bullshit to put up with.
The skin isn't thin so much as it was (temporarily) VERY irritated. I actually had a nightmare that Coughlin announced Sheridan would be back next year and that the injuries had absolved him of guilt. And I don't know much about the size of your cock, but while we're on the topic of thin skin....
I haven't posted in ANY online forum in weeks because I knew I would only be capable of spewing out dark and angry verbiage. I actually found myself ashamed of the Giants during these past two weeks. I can take losing a game, but it's pretty rough to take your team playing like a bunch of castrated, gutless, bitches. They mailed it in, and I expect this offseason to be very interesting. Oh, to curb the temper I decided to start drinking less...or was it more? Either way, thus far it's working.
I'm with you in that my feelings towards the Jets are secondary to my hatred (nay, rancor) towards the Eagles, Cowboys, and Redskins. I think it's just because the Giants and Jets tend to have alternating elliptical periods of talent and suckage; the Giants are good when the Jets suck, and the Jets are winning when the Giants suck. I think it's the fans that get on each other more than the players and teams do.
If the Jets had either: a: Eli Manning or b: Mark Sanchez playing at Eli's level today The Jets would be the prohibited Super Bowl Favorites heading into the tournament. They would easily have 3 more wins and sitting at 12-4, they would be playing a home game this year. Additionally, if they were able to squeeze out another win, they may be sitting home instead of San Diego. And please, don't anyone insinuate that I want Eli Manning on the Jets over Sanchez. I am very satisfied with Sanchez's play, continued development and prospect for the future. I remain cautiously optimistic that we have found a franchise player at the most important position in football. IF that is correct, you cannot underestimate the value to a franchise in its ability to attract FAs, resign players and the flexibility of drafting players.
