http://sports.espn.go.com/boston/nfl/news/story?id=5653186 OH, how funny! back to where he first quit!
that game in foxboro isnt going to be easy even without moss there...plus the goal is to win as many as we can before the divisional games at the tail end of the year so that way they become less important...we need start to create separation between us and new england...every win is important.... @ denver is a tough game...then green bay...shit never gets easy haha
This really would hurt the explosiveness of the NE offense. They have no one who could come close to duplicating what Moss could do in terms of being a deep threat and scaring opposing coaches. Julian Edelman is a player in the Welker mode, not someone to replace Moss. Tate is raw. They have two solid receiving options at TE, but none of this solves the underlying problem they'd have without Moss. Moss made the offense go. His presence was what opened it up for Welker in the slot and for Faulk (now injured) out of the backfield. The Patriots were never a truly elite offensive team until Moss got there, and I don't believe they'll be one without him. Your post didn't really say anything. Of course if they only get draft picks back they're not going to be as good this year.
The part of my post that you cut out of context with the rest of my post didnt say anything. Some people at the time were posting that this move would be bad because we have to play the Vikes Monday night, my post justified why I thought it was good. Good in the long run, is what i was getting at i suppose.
We have to play NE one more time as well, so it's a wash as far as that goes anyway, and when you add in the fact that it would hurt NE in their other games...
Hopefully Minnesota is wavering on the deal and wants to wait until after the Jets game to see how they stack up without him. that would be win-win: beat the shit out of the Vikings and precipitate Moss out of NE.
Re: pats may send moss back to minn? Not to mention the Patriots having to play the Vikings in a few weeks.
Randy Moss: Potentially the only player to ever play in consecutive Monday night games. Also the only player to have zero catches in consecutive Monday night games. Revissss
I'll go out on a limb here and say neither would be true, assuming he plays on MNF for the Vikings and is held without a catch.
Not true! He made it clear he's upset that the Pats haven't made any effort to extend him. He never said he wouldn't come back. What he did say was he understands that the Pats aren't gonna give him another big payday.
The MNF folks showed why Moss had no stats. He was doubled on virtually every play and they had a safety playing centerfield. The phins weren't gonna let the Pats go deep last night.
Ya, Spikes, Gronkowski, Hernandez, McCourty, Chung, Vollmer... they suck! If anything, his drafts are getting better than when he had Pioli!
