Lets wait til next year and hope our top offensive pick next year is more of a skill position (receiver? RB?) then we can hope to win an award like that, for now, lets just focus on the team coming together and showing true potential for the years to come. And root for Vilma to earn the top pro bowl spot at MLB this year.

If we are gonna talk about ROY candidates in mid june than the odds on favorite before camp starts is Reggie Bush. It could be anyone once the season plays out but I'm fairly certain it won't be an OLineman.

Again, Earl McCollouch was not an offensive lineman, he was a receiver (he caught 40 passes in his rookie year). No offensive lineman has ever won OROY, and as abyzmul said, it isn't going to be a Jet who breaks that string.

I...OW! Thanks for that. I was about due for a sandpaper rub across the face.

That aside, let's see now...The Jets are going to the Superbowl. No, wait, that's not it. The Jets are going 3-13. No, wait, that's not it. Let's talk Draft '07. No, wait, that's not it. Just in case nobody noticed, the season hasn't, er, how can I say this? Started yet.

A reason why it's not won by lineman is also because lineman is really a group thing. Put Ogden, Shields, and Mawae on the same side. If they don't work together I really don't care how good they are man up. It's all about creating holes and if you're not on the same page bumping lineman off for your guards and such it won't work.

I knew Earl wasn't a lineman too, I was just stating he was closest thing even listed to an offensive lineman.

No way O line dude... I think it will be Offensively Vernon Davis or DeAngelo Williams. Defensively mabey AJ Hawk?? Its quite hard to pick it could be somewhere from the 2nd or 3rd round.

The only way D'Brick wins OROY is if ESPN and Sportscenter slurp the shit out of him. No one is gonna notice if D'Brick shuts down premier DEs except for us, the guys who are gonna watch him day in and day out. Sportscenter would have to point that out everytime for more people to take notice. Get enough hype around him provided by Sportscenter, and he might have a chance.
