Well said. And Remember, we could have drafted Tom Brady too, or Dan Marino for that matter. Don't know why people continue to start stuff like this. Every year there are mistakes made by numerous teams, not just the Jets.

  2. No he hasnt been lights out..but he also hasnt been anywhere NEAR as bad as the naysayers has been advocating.

In terms of being a young linemen...he's been solid. For the most part he's going up against the opposing team's best pass rusher, and 9 times out of 10 he keeps them completely at bay.

Year 3 he should be taking his game to the next level by adding more strength and forcing his will of freakish athleticism on defenders...if you combine that w/ theoretically solidifying the LG spot next to him...and he may very well be a top 5 LT/pass protector in the NFL.

D'Brick was not a bad pick. He was rated as the best lineman in the draft, and the JETS had arguably the WORST oline in football at that point and were looking for a "blue chip" player. Some "talking heads" thought he may have been the #1 overall had he comeout the year before, but was part of a highly regarded draft class in '06. Granted he doesn't not look like an all-pro player as many expected, but he's hasn't been bad given his experience and other linemates. The draft is a crapshoot, sometimes shit doesn't work out, but it wasn't a bad selection.

It's not like they traded 2 1st rd picks and a 4th rd to move up to #4 to draft him like a certain someone on the D-line who hasn't met expectations
