I think that this guy Bowens would be a really nice additon. Recording 6 sacks in each of the last few years as a reserve is pretty impressive

Do they get paid extra for some info exchange? I mean not paid by the Front Office for sure but by the people who want the info.

Get the deal with Bowens done. Very underrated player. 11 sacks the last two years without starting a single game. Great situational pass-rusher who seems to be the type of player Mangini looks for. The only thing holding Bowens back was that he happened to play the same DE position on the Dolphins as Jason Taylor.

Exactly.....I'd rather pay for these guys (Bowens and Kenyon Coleman)......players that show a hell of a lot of promise and look like they can def. be big help for the team, then dish out huge money on the FA market to mediocre proven JAGS (most of the FA class this year) and has-been's (Porter, others)

Why is it people say stuff like that here when people dare to contend with positive Jets news?

Not that I agree with his point that the writers know nothing, but it's a little insulting that someone who disagrees isn't as great a fan as you are.

As far as Bowens, I'm liking this guy the more I hear and see of him. He's got good size for the OLB position, he's been productive even though he hasn't been starting, and he'd come at a decent price. I love what the Jets are doing this offseason. Stole Coleman, stole Jones, hopefully they steal Bowens here...and I expect big things on draft day.

Coleman and Bowens wouldn't play the same position in this defense. Coleman is the perfect 3-4 DE, Bowens would play OLB.

To where he belongs in a 3-4 defense...as a pass rushing specialist OLB in the 3-4.

I'd love to add Bowens. He's put up good numbers in reserve roles in the past, and would be a good addition to our LB corps assuming that's where we put him.

Bowens is a beast. He is a little bit older then i would like but does not have a lot of mileage on his tires. He was the Man in Michigan. If we get him I say close up shop and lets look at the draft.

We need this guy for sure, but we still need a RT as well. Unless you think Blanton is the answer?

Bowens would be a nice addition. We could use him on all 3rd and long situations for a good pass rush. I hope we sign him. He could be a solid contributor.

Yeah fellas the more I think about who we should add the more I want to bring this guy in. The fact that he wants to play here only makes it better, I hope we can work out a deal.

Dude, whats the point of saying "well, I guess you're not interested in Jets news" if you're not implying SOMETHING?

    It's how it came off.

    You hit the nail.
With Thomas on one side, Ellis and Roberston in the middle, Bowens should do some damage on obvious passing downs.

Lot's of one on one matchups in the line = lot's of sacks and ints.
