I feel you...and, I'm getting there. It just seems a lot harder to get my mind into a semi-positive football mood this year.
I was very much in the Derek Carr camp, because I thought there was a chance of him being our quarterback for four or five seasons. I was much less keen on Rodgers because of his age. I thought it was very possible he might play just one or two seasons with us. When it became clear it was Rodgers or bust for this team, I got on board and looked forward to seeing what he could do, but of course that didn't pan out, through no fault of his own. My issue now would be spending a lot of money on more short-term mercenaries when we have these young stars in line for big contracts. I accept we would have to pay a fortune for a decent quarterback - that's the way the league is right now, so my concern is not with the money spent on Ridgers (or any other QB) but on other high-priced rentals who would not be here long enough to build around.
