Wishful thinking. Revis continuously owns all receivers with Megatron's skillset, and that track record includes Calvin Johnson.

The smaller route runners with superior stutterstep ability are the only ones that have given him any trouble at all since '09. And that amount of trouble could fill a thimble.

Megatron will lose this battle until Revis has some sort of debilitating injury. Or he dies of old age.

That's correct. Another reason we have Cromartie. He matches up better with the speedsters while Revis is better at covering the bigger guys one on one.

Revis completely shut the guy down last time other than a slant when he was playing 5 yards off the line of scrimmage.

Revis has said that Stevie Johnson gives him the most trouble in coverage.

2nd and 10 at BUF 25 (Shotgun) R.Fitzpatrick pass deep left to St.Johnson ran ob at NYJ 49 for 26 yards. Caught along sideline at NYJ 49.

excuse me, it was a 26 yarder, when you were down 27-3 ... still garbage time stats used by you delusional bills fans to make it seem like he had a good game against revis ... he had ONE nice catch in the vid posted above, it was also his first catch of the game

like i said, he caught a few short slants on revis and was immediately tackled ... he had two receptions longer than like 8 yards we were in zone each time

hes been shutting him down for years

Cro matches up with physical receivers with straight line speed who either have no moves or are too lazy to use them.

He constantly gets owned by speedy receivers that can actually run routes.

Cro is straight up bump and run which is why he struggled with guys like Garcon. Guys who run routes very well give Cro tons of trouble.

    EDIT: Quoted to wrong post.

Excellent point & this is why I love the Cro+Revis combination. Although Revis is one of the top 2 CB of all-time, Cro is better at running step for step with the super speedsters. If you're the opposing team & actually have a speedster that might have a chance to give Revis trouble ..... well then you'll get stuck w/ Cro.

Overall Cro's game has more weaknesses; such as the way he struggles with the good route runners (but does much better if he's playing tight & not giving a cushion to start the play). However, Cro's strength works well w/ Revis.

Brandon Marshall, only guy I have seen consistently give Revis trouble all game.

Did Revis cover him for all of those? How many were in garbage time? And how many were in zone? You have to actually look at the 1 vs 1 coverage not just throw stats. It's like looking at Dez Bryant's stats in game 1 of the season even though he racked stuff up on Cro.

Wow. The amount of negativity is ridiculous on this board. This matchup already happened. Revis held him to 1 reception for 13 yards and it was a slant.

Who cares????? The Jets don't play Detroit this season and who knows if Revis will be a Jet next year. This thread is inane.
