He is the best Corner in the NFL. Look at who he shut down last season in man coverage. End of discussion.

If there was a draft like that you would see all of the elite QB's go first. Revis would not be ahead of Brees, Rivers, or any of the top QB's. An elite QB has much more of an impact then any other position on wins and losses then any other position.

I think Revis would be the first defensive player taken. Having that lock down CB is more important then a dominant pass rusher or Patrick Willis type LB. Revis can take away a player by himself. Those other positions can't take a player away.

Aaron Rodgers definitely deserves to be there as well. Could you imagine what he would do on the Jets with our o-line which can actually keep him upright half the time? I would take him over Rivers.

Problem is in a draft like that who is taking an old man like Brees, Peyton, Mcnabb, Brady with the first pick ?

Your "Elite" QBs are all old and at the end of their career. So youd be talking guys like Chris Johnson, Phillip Rivers, Aaron Rodgers going near the top of the list.

If you think that joining an opposing team's forum in order to "educate" them on the league-wide ranking of their best defensive player will result in anything positive aside from removing the risk of you contaminating with your offspring for the time it takes you to type that sentence then you, sir, are delirious...you're not even the best troll in this section of the forum much less of all them...

I'll amuse you, who would you rate better at his position?

Peyton Manning would still be taken 1st. He might be 34 but I expect him to have another 5-7 years left at a high level. Having him on your team will almost guarantee a playoff berth especially in a draft like that. As long as you don't screw up and get him pass protection he'll make the receivers good.

If I were a team in the 1st round I would not pass up a top QB. If I wait until the 2nd I could be stuck with a middle of the road QB.

What's stupid about that draft is the rookies. I highly doubt unproven rookies will be taken in the 1st round.

What's with the hate for B. Marsh? The guy is an elite receiver in his prime and he plays for your rival team, I understand why you would be upset, but quit hating. I never complained as I watched the Jets in the past few offseasons go out and get some good players (Kris Jenkins, Cromartie, Braylon, Santonio and Favre all the while our past regimes were trying to destroy our team by blowing our draft picks See. Nick Saban, Cam Cameron, Samson Satele, Reagan Maui, Derek Hagan, Ted Ginn, Etc.) Deal with the fins having the best Rb tandem and Wr in the division.

I wouldnt talk to much about our deal not working out due to the guys signed. Sanburnio Holmes is one joint away from being suspended and if you know like I know, he will burn once and try to beat it. Hopefully he doesn't try and fly with a whizzanator.

Nnamdi Asomugha would be rated higher at his position. Now lets say the entire NFL, Peyton Manning, Adrian Peterson, Patrick Willis and Ed Reed are all better and would be ranked higher.

For those of you that have never visited South Florida, here's the typical mouthpiece of their fan base. I'm surprised he mentioned Ginn as a blown draft pick because 72 hours ago he was being mentioned down here as having 'owned' Revis. I noticed that Pat White wasn't included in the 'blown pick' category, just sayin'. Also, notice the witty use of Santonio's name. Stellar job...

I think Revis is the 2nd best player in the NFL behind Peyton Manning...but with that being said he would not go top 3 in a draft like this.

QBs and LTs are just so much more important than a CB.

the argument that the QB position is the most important b/c it has the biggest impact on the game is the exact same argumentt for revis christ.

revis alone was responsible for the jets having the #1 defense in the nfl.

replace revis christ with any other db (Nnamdi Asomugha not withstanding) and we are middle of the pack defense at best. 95% of rex's band of lunatics goes out the door without revis backing it all up.

no other defensive player has the impact on the game today that revis has.

Ricky is one of my all time favorite players and not because of his weed habits, but his resilience. Dude has been injured, publicly ridiculed, suspended, sent to Canada and still manages to return to the NFL and obtain 1,121 yards with a 4.7 yards/average and accounted for 13 touchdowns. He does alot of good community work for South Florida's youth.
