How can they go run-heavy with no running game, playing a top D-Line? Could be a bad strategy. They will be throwing it.
You probably read something from yesterday. I've been looking all morning for updates and I never saw anything that said that from today.
They're not going to throw it because their line can't protect Big Ben. Also they want to limit the Jets possessions after that 48 point blitz the Jets put on against Buffalo last sunday. They're also getting Mendenhall back on sunday. Mendenhall will be limited but he'll be taking snaps. Also their three best defensive players are banged up or out completely (Woodley, Harrison, Polamalu). The Steelers are going to run it because that's what makes the most sense here. Unfortunately it won't be enough, but it's all they can do.
Polamalu will be limited with a calf strain. Harrison had knee surgery in mid-august, didn't play Week 1, and didn't practice as of yesterday. Woodley had nothing last week against Denver (3 tackles, one solo, no sacks) and is coming off a serious hamstring injury last season.
Harrison has been ruled out Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter Steelers' James Harrison will not play Sunday, despite earlier comments.…
Nope, twitter update from today's practice. But the latest is he joined the team for drills on-field with a helmet on but none of the drills included contact. Have to wait and see til a presser after practice.
Heard if he isn't cleared today, it's a no go according to Rex. Test should come later in the day I'm not sure what time. This coming from ESPN.
Does anyone know the status of Polamalu? I can live with no Revis as long as Polamalu sits along side James Harrison on the side lines.
Well shit. That definitely hurts our chances a lot this weekend. Do you have a link or did you watch the press conference?
