I think the bills could be in trouble and could trade up after giving everything because they have not had a great off season. After letting go of taylor,They have the least desirable FA qb. I would of kept Taylor personally. Have picks 12 (after giving up their LT) and 22 in a draft where many believe the drop off from blue chip talent is quite large and that drop off is from 10. They lost incognito - down 2 linemen. If we gave up three 2nd round picks and 6 to move up to 3 then what will the giants charge? Why would the giants want to go to 12? More realistic that the bills trade to #4 or #5 than #2 Sent from my SM-G610Y using Tapatalk
All the big name QBs in this draft are from warm climates, Rosen Allen Darnold are Californians , Jackson is from S Florida and Mayfield is from Austin Texas. I agree Allen would be the best choice for the Bills. The draft can't get here soon enough.
I almost expect Miami to trade up even more than i do Buffalo despite Buffalo having drastically more draft capital. Tannenbaum maybe running out of chances to win & While Gase has more slack you have to figure hes about ready to move on from Tannehill & bring in his own guy to groom. Trader Mike could be back in a big way. I wouldnt be surprised if when it’s all said & done all four Afc east teams draft a QB round 1..at leaat 3 out of 4
I think SD is going #1 so the only real concerns I have is whats happening with that #2 pick. My dream scenario is the Jills selling the farm to get there and picking Allen.
I think the browns r picking darnold. My worry is Rosen at 2. Those 2 r the only qbs I want. I can’t see the jints passing on Rosen. The fact that u never hear Rosen to the jints worries me and in typical jet fashion he goes to them and wins multiple Super Bowls. I don’t want mayfield. Please don’t argue with me I’ve heard all the stuff I get how accurate he is. Just how I feel. So for me it’s Rosen or bust. I am preparing for the jets to pick Allen and once again they dissapoint
Interesting take...I've always been comfortable with Baker taken at 3 but I understand few on TGG will sleep at night if that's the choice.. Would Dave G really want a skinny kid from CA with a big pie hole mouthing off to the media ? Unless the Giants somehow get Darnold it will be a SHARP departure from the Maras draft habits..it might happen ..I thought originally no way but now it's 50/50 chance
The Bills have 2 firsts, 2 seconds, and 2 thirds, in addition to all the other regular picks plus next years picks. The Giants can ask for whatever they want and Buffalo has it.
And the Bills just might be stupid enough to fork that up and make things easy for the Giants. Then wait for Allen or Darnold to "develop".
If you think it’s “stupid” to try and do whatever it takes to get a franchise QB then you and I will just have to fundamentally disagree.
Probably not. They have a franchise qb they won two Super Bowls with by trading up for him. I don’t think there’s any sane, rational person who doesn’t think it’s wise to get a franchise qb.
The Bills most likely talked to them already. Every day that goes by it will cost the Bills more the closer to draft day it gets. It is far from a foregone conclusion that the Giants take a QB if they keep the pick.
Because if the. Bills pick a QB at 2 it would be so much worse than of the Giants pick a QB at 2 how? We've known there was a possibility that we would get the 3rd QB taken the day we made the move. If one is going at 2 I would rather the Bills move up, give up most of their high picks this year and next years first to get a QB. Plus it being the Bills you know they'll make the wrong pick and leave someone better for us to pick.
As a fan, do you want to give up 2 1st Round Picks in 2018, both 2nd Round Picks in 2018, and next year's 1st Round Pick, to move up to #2 and select a QB? That will probably be the cost, if not more. It's a tough decision. The real question is are the Giants even interested? They seem to be in "Win Now" mode with Eli. Getting an impact player like Barkley or Chubb would help more than all that the Bills can offer. In the short term, at least.
