The way Rosen stood in the pocket and picked the defense apart after getting annihilated throughout the first half... wow. What a freakin performance. ...we better not fuck this tank up.
And on cue Rosen fed me a shit sandwich. And he did it with no run game and second tier talent to throw to. This was a turn of events I am ecstatic to have been wrong about.
Nobody's "bulletproof". With the way players are put under a microscope and dissected, all "flaws" are magnified. What do you think the analysts would've said about Namath today? The real key is to put a CS in place that knows how to maximize a QB's abilities. Right now, the Jets don't have this.
Well if they do fuck it up you can't blame McCagnan. He has done just about everything possible to assure maximum suckitude.
Anyone think Rosen could step in right now and outplay Hack? Without having even seen our playbook? That was pretty epic, only one week, but pretty darn cool. This is our season, watching college QBs Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Rosen looks everywhere before he throws...That is what we have not had in our young QBs, we always zero in. Dude looks great, but his FUCK TRUMP mantra may not get him drafted by us because we got a crap franchise owner
"And that's ballgame. Josh McCown and the Jets came back from a 43-3 deficit in the 4th Quarter with 1:24 left on 7 fumbled returned TDs on victory kneels to beat the Buffalo Bills"
Yeah Rosen won't be a Jet simply because he doesn't support Trump. The kid definitely has the tools but the off the field will keep him off our radar.
That won't keep him from being the number one selection. He just put up 491 yards and looked every bit the number one pick he is. If anything, it will be him saying he doesn't want to play for us!
You have a point, but I'd take Mariota, Mahomes, Winston, Bridgewater, or Wentz in a NY minute. I may have been wrong about Trubisky too.
Rosens numbers looked great but after actually watching the game some of those throws made were pretty bad decisions and a few should have been picked off...more impressive on paper and in highlights then actually watching the game.
Yeah, some of them he was off balance, threw off his back foot and just threw it up for grabs. On the TD that sparked the comeback he threw into triple coverage in the end zone and the defenders had a better shot at the ball than the receiver, but the receiver made a great play.
If that turned out to be true after Rosen was the obvious pick Woodster should be marched to the guillotine.
The one thing I will say about Rosen is that his second to last TD went right through the hands of the defender. It should have 100% been a redzone INT and probably would have sealed the game, but the defender had slick oil on his gloves and it passed through to the WR. It was a bad throw into misread coverage.
The thing about Rosen last night is that even if he didn't pull it out at the end, the fact that he hung in there and didn't quit shows me a lot. You can't coach heart, and the kid has a big one. And his anti-establishment attitude would be great for the Jets - the Giants are the Establishment, and always will be, so the Jets need to be the polar opposite. That's what Namath did for them, and what I think Rosen could do as well.
