This is laughable... he is better and if you do not have an OL that can pick up standard NFL stunts or block the man on the end of the line - who was free on almost every play... you can not be accurate because you have no time … please your comment is absurd.
Darnold completed 68.3% of his passes and that's after the 4th quarter forcing him to throw low percentage throws for ANY NFL QB.
Darnold didn’t look good today, but this thread is a JOKE. I will say, Williams (Leonard) looks fat to me
Cant make chicken soup with.... The online is terrible, no drive, no push on run plays - Bell created on his own. On pass plays the pocket crumbled and Darnold had no time and no open receivers. Also every time the Jets seemed to be getting into a rhythm there would be a stupid penalty by the o-line. You cant do that against a top defense and expect to win. Despite this, if the kicker makes that chipshot FG, everyone here would be saying how in command and smart Darnold played today. This was no Geno, Sanchez, etc - 3 int performance today + No reason to get too carried away with we need a new Qb, etc.. That’s really ignorant on all levels + borders on trolling.
Darnold had a 68% completion rate and a TD, 2 pt conversion, and no turnovers. The biggest issue on offense was pass protection, which caused Darnold to be very uncomfortable looking deep. Darnold made a lot of good decisions, unfortunately he never got a deep game going missing Robby Anderson 3 times, twice too short and once too long. At first I wondered if Robby was struggling with his calf but it turned out they were just afraid to try and let the O-Line pass protect long enough for deep plays to develop.
I just got home from the game. The positives? The punter, Bell, Crowder and Mosley. Everything else was pretty negative. Darnold looked bad on that last drive. Some of those throws that fell short or where there were 3 Buffalo defenders around were just plain bad. The inaccuracy is definitely an issue that he still needs to fix. Same with the batted balls. In fairness to him, the OL looked like hot garbage. He rarely had a clean pocket and time to throw. He was under duress almost the entire game. He made a couple of his nice improvisational plays as always. The called back TD being the big one. However he needs to get better as a consistent pocket QB.
Could very well be. The line looked horrible. However a couple of the throws on that last drive were just bad.
To me- Excessive batted balls point to the QB not being good enough (today or maybe forever) either through progressions or adjustments After 4 you would think he would adjust (same for CS) Reminded me of JJ Watt owning Sanchez
Darnold was poor today, but so was the entire offense (except for a not-so-rusty RB). What worries me though, is that the offense was eerily reminiscent of last year's inept Fish offense, and that that may not be a coincidence.
The funny thing is the fans call this shit out a mile away. We didn’t like Gase but these silly interviews allowed Chris Johnson to get persuaded because Gase can probably talk up a good game. Before that many were sounding the alarm about the offensive line and that was ignored. I honestly think with the amount of info that is out there today, fans can run a team better than our front office can.
This thread is stupid. Baker had 3 picks today against an easier defense, is he the next Mark Sanchez? They let their offensive line go bad just like us and SURPRISE SURPRISE they look bad. We should have fired ass clown Mac before the offseason but it is what it is. Maybe a high draft pick is needed to fix this mess again.
