That's called an analogy. I just presented a scenario to make you think from the perspective of another team that needs FQB, which shows that it is unlikely that Sam is the answer. Hypothetical scenarios are being discussed all the time, especially in the offseason. See Watson trade, etc. Look, I get it you suffered for a long time and it's hard get over something that happened 3 years ago with Jets and Bills being in the same boat and them winning, but it's time to focus on what's ahead as things are actually looking up for the Jets.

Interesting that this article was only two months after the one recently posted that said he was okay with his delivery. That one, even though it was predraft, is what a couple of posters are using to hang him three years later.

He has an excellent supporting cast as well, Allen, Williams, Henry. He can just do his part and they do theirs.

I know a lot of guys don’t like him but when I see Zack Wilson, this is who he reminds me of. Very fluid, natural, athletic and comfortable moving around buying time while looking down field. I believe Wilson has a very high football IQ from what I have read.

    You’re an angry elf.

He’s using an analogy, he’s not supporting the idea of wanting Josh Mcown or for that matter Sam Darnold.

Don’t take this the wrong way because it’s not intended at you but I’m seriously starting to question the thinking ability of some of our posters.

They see everything in absolutes, black and white and circumstances are not to be taken into consideration with how decisions are made short term or long term.

angry? i said aghast. ya know, like horrified? also maybe dumdfounded.
he made an analogy of running back mclown. a scenario where we agree to go a year with a poor qb, accept the likely losing season.
if the post didnt mean "be ready to accept the idea of doin 2021 with a below avg qb" what DID it really mean?

am not angry. am not yelling at you.

and oaf is more appropriate than elf with all the weight i gained this past decade. grumble grumble.

Nah....I'm just trying to see where we go IF JD doesn't fall in love with any of the QBs coming out this year. What do you think will happen?

    Robby thought so too.

  13. If the Jets take Zach Wilson that might be enough to break me of this disgusting habit

1st- you dont have to "fall in love" to want to move on from the worst performing QB in the NFL.
you just have to WANT TO SIGNIFICANTLY improve output/contribution the position to increase your chances of winning games.
Starting Sam Darnold negatively affects your chances of winning. And not by just a little.

2nd- what I think. I think he'll draft the mfing Sewell dude. or mayyyyybe

do a trade down and go with Jones/Lance/Wilson/Trask

I dont think he'll draft a QB @ #2. And I am not necessarily advocating that he does. Just that he makes a move to improve the position, either keeping Sam or not.

    Stafford or Watson also.

and if he ends up being a good QB. doesnt matter?
thi isnt a pro-Wilson post even though i do like him.
    Just curious.

  16. Id obv re evaluate & likely would have to eat my words. Just nothing about him excites me as a prospect.Nothing. Forget his weaknesses.I dont think the strength of his game are very impressive.

W the #2 overall pick, after the yr we just had..IDK.. id be pretty damn pissed off.

Not surprising but Fields officially declares for the draft.

chances are Wilson might be had lower than #2. Generally speaking Fields and the Wilson is the common most accepted (not necessarily accurate as we know)
order of QB qulaity after TLaw.

right on. about your vibe. we all get vibes, good or bad or meh or neutral.
I forget who it was was saying they had the same feeling as you have about Wilson, about Fields.

I get Stafford/Ryan vibes from Wilson/Fields. That they can be above avg QBs.

for me the thing what'd piss me off is we just trot Sam out there again
w/o a drafted guy behind him (Mac/Trask/Lance- these three are risker but also more fascinating cos most people dismiss them.)
or getting Stafford or Watson or going bigger for Fields or Wilson. This last option i actually think is least likely.

The trade down and go Lance is a very fascinating idea to me.

  19. Im to the point where if we have to take a QB id simply take Lance at 2.Alittle early for where hes at in his development but the Physical skillset is worthy of a top 5 pick
