In 20 games he averages 37.9 yards per game on the ground. You've never seen him play huh?

When all is said and done here Trey Lance might be the 2nd QB taken. I am not going to say I have much knowledge or opinion of the 4 second tier QBs but Lance seems to me a QB that us well thought of, has a great physical skill set and someone who could rise up as we get closer to draft day.

theres no reason to hijack the thread any longer----Gaseandconfused and woody have literally zero idea what theyre talking about when it comes to Fields.
Literally nothing, theyve NEVER seen him play once but we can move on.

Speaking of bulking up though, Zack Wilson is listed at 210lbs.....hes the same height as Fields and looks like hes 202lbs soaking wet. He ABSOLUTELY needs to put on at least 20 lbs

hahhaha dude I just said. He 100% has never seen him play. According to him he is a weak-armed, run first QB who needs to bulk up if he wants to play in NFL.......when we all know hes a very strong-armed, great sized QB who can stand in the pocket and make every throw.

Absolutely, you never know and theres a looooong time to go yet....bowl games, pro days, combines, interviews etc

The only guy I cannot see as the 2nd QB taken in Trask

Yeah Trask killed himself yesterday even though he was missing pretty much every target he's thrown to over the past two years.

If JD decides to pickup some other pieces and doesn't love Lance/Wilson/Fields (I'd imagine all three go top 20), then Trask might be a look at our second rounder.

you guys are literally insane. saying a QB needs to add 10lbs is really the hill you want to die on. jeez
his film is awful though. not saying it's his fault but it just is

his WRs are always wide open. he looks like baker on film. he's a tough QB to judge. I've been right pretty much every time so far but please continue to repeat your mistakes

You're not responding to what's being said and just beating your chest because you were right about a draft class that's three years old.

That's not debating in good faith, man. C'mon now.

I watched two games of his and two different analysis tapes of him last night, and two analysis tapes of Wilson. He looked night and day different from the one game video from this year that someone posted. I'm going to watch more today/tonight of both those QBs, but I'm starting to move from Wilson to Lance.

what is there to debate. i said he could stand to put on 10lbs. he/s under 230. everyone here is saying he's 235-240. if that's true he's fine if not then you all agreeing with me anyway. it's a moot point anyway. it's not a big deal and most college players add weight when coming in the NFL. my only real concern on him is the film. it's hard to judge players like him who are throwing to wide open targets all the time and don't have to go through progressions or make tight window throws. wilson looks better on film but wilson's throwing motion is awful and needs to be fixed. fields throwing motion is damn near perfect. but that also means wilson will have more zip then his film shows when he throws the ball correctly where fields already is

We already have a young QB with potential that needs to fix his mechanics. "no thanks" to Wilson

Don't look at what year he was born in! The draft gets sadder every year listening to that stuff.

I don't like the QB's after TL this year and would prefer the Jets don't spend a high pick on one. I am also done with Darnold, which makes it a very difficult choice. I've said though, we should run Darnold one more time. Improve the team, see if he improves and then either sign a FA like the Colts did to make a push or we can draft his replacement next year.

Yeah I dont hate your plan but if Darnold is brought back there better be a damn QB competition with someone!

Point is they were terrible contracts MacIdiot gave to Wilk and Enumwa--I think most people understood what I was saying. As to injuries, if you are referring to Enumwa, that was my point--he had a long injury HISTORY of injuries PRIOR to that huge underserved contract wherein MacMoron guaranteed him another $28 Million. I don't think the jets got ANYTHING from Enumwa for that contract. I know how many times you used to defend Mike MacCagnan on this message board--The consensus now is he screwed us over with bad drafts and signings--Ask yourself how/why two years have passed since he was fired and still no other team wants your boy MacCagnan as even a low-level scout--Or am I "making that up" as you accuse?

I have a friend that's a pretty good talent evaluator and before Charlie Campbell's report about him not being a leader came out he said "Wilson looks like he's got that rich white boy swag and I hate that."

Looks like it's pretty true. He just looks like a douchebag kid.

Really. I know what you mean. When my boy turned 18 I remember looking at a KID that could barely dress himself and thinking "Holy shit...THIS is what we dumped on the beaches of Normandy and told to storm the Nazi strongholds???? Holy fuck". And now that i'm even older, I see these young QBs coming out and think "Wow...we're pinning our hopes and dreams of a Lombardi on THIS kid???" too funny. Life goes on!

What we do AFTER we draft our next QB is more important than what the entire scouting department does BEFORE we draft our next QB.
