Amen. A bunch of bitches. "Oh my god we lost! We suck! We're the same ol' Jets! Our season is over!" Get a fuckin' life. You "darksiders" are a joke. Jump off a building, please! No, really, do it.
First of all, I am behind the team, as I continue to buy tickets, merchandise, and live and die every week with them for the last 44 years. I also care enough to post on this message board, follow the news about the team, feel great about the team when they win, and depressed when they lose. I've invested alot of emotion in this team over 4 decades, and I don't think I'm wrong to want something back - the euphoria that comes with a championship. Second of all, blow me.
No, you're not wrong to want something back. You're wrong to tell everyone that you're going to stop investing emotionally in this team until they win again. If you've been a fan for 44 years, that means you've seen this team win a championship. Some of us have never had that privilege, and we still get pumped up for every single game and feel that sense of hope when the team plays well. Don't lose it.
Ohmigod, more "poor poor pituful me" crap. Does this ever stop? Fully, completely? It didn't last year, even at 11-3 & coming off road wins against Pats and previously 12-0 Titans, so ... I'm guessing not. Do I have that about right?
If we had been 11 - 3 after Week 15, we'd have made the playoffs. The Titans were 10 - 0 when we beat them.
Well damn, this thread took a turn for the worst. I never realized how difficult it was to convey satire/parody/sarcasm over the interwebz (see post #46, http://forums.theganggreen.com/showpost.php?p=1413787&postcount=46). If some of you really think that there are Jets fans who genuinely hope the Jets lose for the sake of being correct (with the exception of Champ), then yer just really dumb. For the record, this was supposed to be a tongue-in-cheek thread, but since everything operates on the absolute literal level, then I guess this is what results. Having said that, is there anyone who is fully 100% confident that we will win the next 2 games? If so, please make yer case.
^ have you ever had a pissed off Rex Ryan on your ass? That's why the jets will win their next two games.
I think the next two games should be gimmes; but I also thought that about Miami and Rex's schemes against Miami. I also thought that about Oakland last year. My point is, until we start waxing inferior teams the way we ought to (see NYG), then I will have my doubts. Does that skepticism really make me any less of a fan? I hate getting into this because I think it's stupid, but I'm 26 years old; I've been solidly following the Jets for 15 years now; you know what that means? Diddly-squat. All I know is, I've had my hopes up before and they've been let down. However, every time this team looks good, I will hoist my hopes up again because I'm a fan. But that doesn't mean that I don't have the right to doubt. So again, in all honesty, is there anyone on this board who is 100% confident that we will win the next 2 games?
I really hate to say that the CS underestimated the Fish, but they did. i also think on a larger scale is that the Bills are going to be what the Fins were for the last decade for the Jets and the Fins will become the Bills. So the Fins will be a series the jets split and the Bills will be the easy sweep. There has been a changing of the guard. The Pats will be the Pats until Brady and BB retire. I just think Ryan is hell bent on being consistent on defense there is no way two embarrassing offenses are going to score enough to beat what could be a vertical offense from the Jets as long as cotch isn't around to as the possession receiver. I'd like keller to take that role.
I couldn't get through the first page of this thread without being annoyed, so I'm just going to post. I predicted 8-8 before the season and I am not backing off of it. We have a rookie HC and a rookie QB and they are going to make mistakes, and sometimes those mistakes will cost us a game here and there. We also have a pretty tough schedule and we took advantage of some of the tougher teams as they had a slow start. This thread is putrid, I'm not sorry to say. You want to call yourself a darksider because you got excited about a quick start and then teams gameplanned the weaknesses of a couple of rookies? That just tells me that you need to pay more attention to football. It happens. The Same Old Jets wouldn't do what this team is going to do this year. They will probably surpass my 8-8 prediction, which plenty of you 'darksiders' didn't think was possible before the season started, and you will still be pissed off because a rookie HC and a rookie QB didn't win the Super Bowl. Admit it, you got caught up in the hype and then you felt betrayed when the team looked human. You felt betrayed by the team even though it was your own fucking faults for being unrealistic. This team has a bright future, bet on it. This isn't the Same Old Jets. And you aren't darksiders. You are just the Same Old Jets Fans. I blame you for your disappointment, not the Jets. Get real.
They might be a lot of things...but never the SOJ. "Mark was inaccurate" " and "on a statement game" are just pure BS comments by unhappy jet fans that hate life in general and cry "Why me o Lord - I have been a loyal and unhappy fan always" Please don't ever make them a winner...I just wont know what to do" Please feel free to cheer for the Rams...It fits the darksider personality.
I agree. If we don't take any post at face value, does that mean we are all just lying to each other?
