If he keeps his blanket coverage up I think he could be up for Defensive Player of the year.

A Jet has never won this honor so that'd be great..

I think the AP can recognize what he's doing can't be translated into a defensive stat. All they have to do is look at his targets stats and work from that.

With that, and if he can pick up a good amount if of picks it wouldn't be outrageous.

Hm, I think he was on Louis Murphy for most of the game, so he'd be the victim.

Oh, my bad. I wasn't aware it was only the good wide receivers. Carry on then.

I didn't realize it either until I looked back at the thread and realized that it hadn't been updated in a couple of weeks. Revis continues to earn his props so let's continue the tally...

Moss had 5 rec for 34 yards
Smith 1 rec for 5 yards.

    The streak continues.

Was John Abe the last All-Pro Jet on defense?

I for one am really looking forward to the Revis vs. Peyton and Reggie match-up.

It's a very nice feeling, having a player on the Jets so good that you actually look forward to facing the best of the best.

that will be a good matchup, but they might be sitting for the 2nd half.

If not, Peyton will toast the rest of the secondary with Collie, Peter Waiter, and Clark.

Fuck he has to many weapons. Two of which are in their 1st year. Only Peyton Manning can do that.

Honestly, I bet you anything that if the Colts have home field locked up, Peyton goes right after Revis for the short time that the starters are in the game. Not because it's the smart thing to do to win a game; it isn't. But Peyton loves to take care of his receivers, and I'm sure Reggie Wayne would be mighty pumped up for a playoff run if he were the only wide out this year to beat up Revis. It would be a precious opportunity to further cement their chemistry by trying to beat the best corner in football.

I'm really hoping that's how it happens, and then we see Jim Sorgi throwing balls in the second half. To me, Revis vs. anybody's number one is a more favorable match-up than anybody's number two vs. Sheppard/Coleman/Strickland.

i think manning and wayne could find some success against revis. revis is so good because he makes qbs throw the ball into very tight spaces, manning is accurate enough to still get a ball to wayne even if revis has great coverage. i could see 5 catches for 65 yards or something along those lines for wayne. easily the best day anyone would have against revis all year.

Rhodes had the one All Pro nod in 2006 but the last all-pro Jet was Jenkins.
