I disagree...I think Harris has shown signs of being a playmaker. He had a 20 tackle game and has 3 sacks on his short season. If he has been starting from day one he would be the clear cut winner of DROY

Honestly...how much of an upgrade could he be over TJ and Leon? We've got 5 or 6 gaping holes on this team...RB is not one of them. No way we draft him.

It never hurts to have more playmakers (also something this team lacks sorely), but the team isn't going anywhere until that line is fixed. Even TJ, who has a penchant for being a pretty tough RB, couldn't get that TD from one yard out with this group of linemen.

I wouldn't mind bringing in Long on the o-line from Michigan...McFadden is not going to make us better with the way our line is looking

I don't know about him being a bigger version of LT, but it would nice to have running a Sweep or out side of the tackles as a threat. Really fast guys seem to make those kinds of plays work.

I'm still surprised the mods still haven't moved this to the draft forum, yet.

Even despite how the season is going, I don't wanna hear about the damn draft in frickin' December. It's doubly depressing.

Drafting McFadden before fixing the OL would be like putting a huge flat screen TV in your house before you wired the house for electricity. Comparing the careers of Reggie Bush and Adrian Peterson should show you that. Bush is fast, but the holes in the NFL close fast and defensive players in the NFL are far faster than than in college. Peterson is successful because the Vikings have a great OL. With the Jets OL, McFadden would be wasted and have nowhere to run. Plus RBs are the easiest position to fill in FB.

Let's finally fix this team before talking about drafting "sexy" skill players with an early pick. McFadden will be toast without linemen and he won't get on the field unless the defense is improved enough to get off the field. This is not the year to use a first round pick on a RB, WR or QB (don't even menion TE). It's defensive front 7 or the front office is crazy.

When you have multiple positions to fill, you go BAP. Whether that's Chris Long, or McFadden is still unclear. If Chris Long ways in over 290lbs and shows good 3-4 DE skills, he's our man. If not, then we go McFadden. We're not going to fill all of our holes, and this isn't the last draft in Jet's history. If Long is lacking, we take McFadden and use our other picks and free agency to fill holes. In next year's draft, we hope that there is talent for the positions we have yet to fill (BJ Raji). That's the best way to go.

At the niner's current pace we won't get him....we better start rooting for some niner wins in a few weeks or else....

    Patriots scouting McFadden
The Patriots had just beaten the Cowboys in October and were celebrating in their popcorn-strewn locker room when head coach Bill Belichick addressed the team. He was happy that the Patriots rallied for a 48-27 win, but disappointed that not everyone was healthy enough to play. The focus of his wrath reportedly was running back Laurence Maroney, whom Belichick derisively referred to only as "No. 39," admonishing him to toughen up and get on the field where his team needed him. Word around the league is that the Pats have scouted Darren McFadden extensively and are fans of his game. There's a difference, however, between scouts liking him and Belichick liking him, and the head coach won't be making those kind of decisions until after the season.

We cannot pass on this guy if he falls to us.

Not trying to be sarcastic, but can anyone find me a team with three 1st round picks currently starting on their offensive line?

I think the main point is that we can fix the line with picks in other rounds. I can't see drafting another O-lineman with our 1st rd pick again...
