A lot of times they do this for players they like that won't make the team so that they are essentially auditioning for other teams in the league.
I love this kid, but I've got the feeling that this is going to turn into another Danny Ware moment...we'll probably be kicking ourselves a couple years down the line
Rex: "He's tougher than nails/numbers game/i don't think there's much more he could do to prove that he should be on the team"
I think it comes down to him OR Caulcrick... I can't see them keeping six. Do we need a second FB or a fourth RB? (Either way they'll probably be inactive on Sundays barring injuries). This is a really tough call. It's hard not to love the little guy--especially after tonight. I can't see DW getting any playing time though, behind TJ, LW, and SG. But if he doesn't make the team, someine picks him up as a 3rd down back I'm afraid.
I agree with Butt with Shonn Greene and RichArdson there's no need to carry 2 FBs. Woodhead wouldn play on special teams as a returner I believe.
That's clearly a joke, pretty funny. Tell you what, they could use this kid as a receiver, on special teams and situationally as well, with Shonn Greene being hurt, why not? We only need a single FB cause a TE can fill in for the FB in spots... not an issue.
It's hard to imagine wanting to be a run heavy team with 1 FB. I really would like to see Woodhead make the team but who knows.
Just trying to find a spot for the guy on this team. I don't know how he'd fare running routes but hey who knows.
Yeah, I'm sorry, he's not white. Most running backs aren't black (sorry african-american, how dare I?). There's no such thing as race, you're blind to that, etc. I understand.
justin fargas I believe of the raiders been a backup for like 7 years now... that's a long time to be a backup.
Mentioning the fact that he is a little white guy. It will not determine if he makes the team or not. I believe he would be a feel-good story IF he makes this team. That's all I am saying.
