I'm glad it was the wrong phrase because I was having trouble understanding wtf you meant.

I do think it would be fucking awesome if they lined up Jenkins as a RB in goal line like the fridge on the '85 Bears.

Cool, the Jets are running a fantasy camp. Where do I sign up? I've always wanted to play in the NFL and with Rex hanging his success on guys like Woodhead I have a shot. I'm short, white and can easily run faster than Woodhead, especially from creditors...

31 teams agreed 6 rounds, that Tom Brady was not a Franchise QB...your point is?

I'm surprised you would be so stupid to post this...William Perry proved you could you can line up a DT as a FB.

You're comparing Tom Brady (who Belichick was told would be great someday) to Danny Woodhead?!

    Really?

Not to mention, Tom Brady didn't fall through the entire draft, run around in garbage time like a school kid, then sit home waiting for the phone to ring until the Jets finally said "Okay Danny boy, you may as well come back."

no offense, but that is a piss poor comparison. so piss poor i do not even have to explain why. as said by someone b4, if washing and jones go down having woodhead will not make a difference except the team will only have to sign 1 hb instead of 2.

Not to pile on but you are using your wrong eye for talent. That was just about the dumbest things I have read on this forum and man that is saying something.

Let's see Thomas Jones or maybe Shonn Greene.

Hell maybe we can put Woodhead at FB, I've seen him mentioned at KR/PR/WR/RB why not FB. In fact since he's so popular let's have Danny Boy play 16 games all at different positions. Afterall he's the NCAA record holder - didn't anyone see him dominate the power house schools of Adamas ST and New Mexico-Pueblo or Neb-Kearney or NM Highlands. I'm sure all 31 other teams passed on him because they felt signing someone so great would create a media frenzy of epic proportions.

I am comparing unrealized talent to unrealized talent. A sixth rounder from a division one school (Michigan, no less..the QB from Michigan falling farther than...Brad Smith?!?!?!? Have you been drinking again?) is not that much different than a FA signing from a division 2 school...

and Brady didn't play his way into the job he sat until until Drew Bledsomuch he couldn't get back on the field.

    You never know.

You guys are comparing Jehuu Caulcrick to one of the best blocking fullbacks of the Modern era (T.Rich) at least my comparison of Woodhead to Leon bears merit.

Lorenzo Neal will be our 2nd FB. As a vested NFL veteran, his salary is gauranteed if he is picked up now. After game 1, he can be signed to a new deal. The other team that has spoken with Neal is... the Ravens.

Really...So...the eyes that put Tom Brady as a sixth round pick were somehow deficient, and the eyes that picked Brad Smith in the fourth round were what?!?!?!?

    The wrong eye for talent?

I am not evaluating talent I am evaluating history and facts, and neither lies.
The Jets have already had two RB'a stolen from their practice squad turn out to be very productive NFL players by a running team they share a stadium with...

Now they have another.....and the evidence says this scouting staff is usually correct in their estimation at this position.

Before you call something dumb, you might want to consider mustering arguments in support, since I'm now calling you a frigging moron for not seeing the obvious, and that is the scouting staffs track record in evaluating RB's including the 4th round pick that is about to become the 6 million dollar man.

Your observation of my post puts you in the same knowledge category as raiderjeaux....

When I mentioned that possibility in another thread yesterday I was told that I was completely nuts and the Jets would never ever ever have two 35+ old FB's. Pretty ironic that we both ended up with this suggestion after disagreeing about Woodhead.
