again we brought in this James Davis guy so essentially that means to me that they didnt like what Caulcrick brought to the table. I liked him to and would rather see him on our roster than Drew mother lovin Coleman, but evidently the staff prefers Davis.

Same. I really don't like the fact that we have now have 1 FB

Ugh. Count me in the same boat with those who would rather have a FB.

maybe we'll sign the FB we just waived (James Davis or something like that) to the PS if he clears waivers... I think that TE we signed (Mulligan) can also play FB in case there is an emergency at the position (the commentators of the Titans last preseason game referred to him as a TE/FB).
I wouldn't be too worried... FB is a fairly easy position to replace. Of course you don't get a guy with T-Rich ability but if we kept him it's becaue he's healthy and can play through the season

Yeah, Linemen being used as TEs , TEs being used as FBs and Woodhead being used to stop papers flying off Woodys desk

So...you honestly feel that running into the hole and throwing a block is a harder skill to duplicate than great feet, great vision, and footspeed?

The salary structure contradicts your assertion...

Firstly, depth right now at FB is important. We have enough RBs.

Secondly, I feel Mr. Woodhead is incredibly overrated on this board. 31 teams agree with me.

Probably one of the CBs looking at our roster... or maybe we have our own version of the wildcat in which another QB comes in and lines up at FB :p

Forget if Woodhead is NFL calibre or not, we just do not need him, when other positions still have needs.
His dream was to play in the NFL , thanks to the Jets organisation, that came true. Now can we please move on and not get distracted.

We have 3..when one goes down we no longer have enough. You can play without a FB until you can find one. You can lineup a guard or tackle to play FB. You can't use one of them to run the ball.

I don't mind having Woodhead on the PS in the event that something tragic happens to Leon and we need a scatback. Just don't like the idea of cutting our only remaining backup FB to do it... if solid fullbacks for a ground and pound were that easy to come by, it would not have taken signing TRich to solidify the position.

And if TRich goes down, we'll have to scour some other team's PS or trade for one. Not good. It's not just easy as 'aw we'll just put a TE in the backfield'. TE's only know certain backfield blocking assignment, they're frigging TEs. They're not automatically going to know the entire position. That's a stupid concept.

If 3 RBs go down, the season is over. Little Danny won't save this team.

We played almost the entire first half of last season with only Leon and Jones listed active in the backfield.

Do you think the fact we are givng so many opportunities to Woodhead has something to do with PSLs as well... I am not saying it's all down to that but a nice feel good story can sell a couple more seats...

I'm surprised you would be so stupid to post this, we can use Kris Jenkins as our emergency RB.

If Woody is using Danny Woodhead to sell PSLs, he has got to be the dumbest man alive. Feel good stories don't make people shell out 10,000 dollars a seat.

TRich is one of a kind. The reason it took so long to get him is because he wasn't available. All of the others fall into the same category.
