Michael Kay was rambling on about Damon while I was in my car today. Apparently Damon made a remark unflattering to the Yankees and that injured Michael Kay's vagina.
Those crediting Boras with creating a miracle need to remember that the Yankees' initial offer was for $14M over two years. They'd have paid more than that in the end, but Boras the Clown publicly said that unless the Yankees were ready to talk some outrageous number ($22M I think it was) then don't bother talking. So Cashman went and got Nick Johnson, closing the door on Damon. Boras took money out of Johnny Damon's pocket. Just like he did to Alex Rodriguez. Except this time the Yankees weren't playing the game.
