Its probably best we released him because if he would have rushed for 1100 yards this week we'd have owed him an extra 100K.
I am absolutely willing to bet anyone he goes for a touchdown in the first game, thereby surpassing his touchdown total with the Jets, and in the playoffs easily exceeds the yards he had with the Jets. I'm thinking there will be no takers on these.
After watching Keyshawn Johnson win, Bill Belichick win multiple, and Darrelle Revis win - all pretty much immediately after leaving - Niners/Ravens is a foregone conclusion.
That's step 1. They'll elevate him, if they haven't already. The Ravens backfield is heavily injured. Dalvin will RB1 for that team this coming game. Depending upon the injuries he could very well be RB1 for the first playoff game, with their bye, or, at the very least, will be RB2 in a committee approach. He's going to get touches and I'll bet he looks closer to what he did in Minnesota vs. what he did here.
