Finally some good news this week. Hopefully they don't fall so far behind in the next month or so that it doesn't matter.
That's what I was thinking when I read this. I guess their jerseys can say Williams I and Williams II. Maybe they'll have to use middle initials.
You have to figure they're starting to tire of TO. Otherwise, this news makes zero sense. Patrick Crayton has been playing really well the past couple of weeks. Miles Austin is at least a capable third. What the hell are they doing?
It has nothing to do with Owens, other than the fact that he's getting older and will need a replacement in a couple years. They've been trying to acquire Williams for two years now, and signed him through 2013. Crayton isn't close to Williams and Austin sucks.
I dissagree..............I think it's ALL about Owens. Even Jerry Jones has a bullshit limit - and I think he's met his with TO.......we'll just have to watch what happens over the next few days - either way - COWBOYS SUCK!!!!!!!!
He's a 26 year old second tier WR with the potential to be an elite WR. He's going to an elite team. It's really not *that* much. Draft picks can be overvalued, but getting even a potential elite, young skill position player for that is worth it. A team like Dallas can afford something like this.
Part of me hopes they approve a new CBA and Jones has to get his people to rush into a cutting and restructuring frenzy after all of this backloading he's done to take advantage of the capless 2010 season... and another part of me fears the same thing will happen with the Jets in that event.
and Randy Moss was for a what? Brad Johnson for 4 weeks will do enough damage that no xtra WR can bail them out of. Plus the injuries and suspension?? Buenas Noches Cowdongs!
In a few years TO will stand for Too Old. This isn't just about finding a compliment to TO, its about finding a replacement. Now they will still have a premier WR during the tail end of Romo's prime years.
Terrell Owens can always sit home and admire the life sized bust of himself that he owns. Then again, he just might have issues with it and say that it's trying to impersonate him or something.
Randy Moss was also much older and had many people around the league thinking he was finished. Brad Johnson is a big concern. Luckily though, the 4 week span without Romo features the Rams, and a bye week. Tampa and the Giants will be tough no doubt, but even if they go 1-2 that puts them at 5-4 with 10 games left and what should be a nearly unstoppable offense. If they can even squeak in as the last spot they'll be very dangerous in the playoffs.
