hello wall, how are you... I know all of what you said... what I'm trying to get at is that our front 3,4,5,6 7, 8 or 9 no matter how many are in the box in our version of the 3-4 right now, we DO NOT get pass rush, shit we don't get even push, and if we want to be known as a physical 3-4 defense in the ILK of a Pittsburgh/Baltimore they need to be able to create a push without blitzing the house...

If Tanny could sign Haynesworth on an incentive-laden contract with very little in guarantees I'd be for it. Problem is that this guy doesn't care and is only in it for the money.

    Fuck him

Good job not addressing the points how you thought our LBs were D-Linemen and a 3-4 D-Line is supposed to pass rush.

Thats why we we have to give credit to Rex, he took a bunch of average players and made a pretty good defence out of it. If any coach had this defense it would be getting rocked every week. Revis has been the only consistent player.

Our secondary has done good and would be doing GREAT, if we actually had a pass rush. I kinda feel bad for our secondary because a lot of this not their fault. Its hard to guard a reciever for 5+ seconds. Hell if I had 5 seconds I could probably break off from our CB.

They worked him, chose not to sign him. Nobody else picked him up either so I'm guessing he's done.

Is their any pass rushers in this years draft? I would be willing to trade up for one. We need to find one.

There are probably 3-4 (not the defensive system) threads in the draft forum. Just go there, I think they have a ton of info on draft prospects.

This game reminded me too much of last years afc championship game. With a great QB like Brady the Jets needed to establish a pass rush and rattle him. Just like what happened with Manning, Brady had enough time to sit back and pick on our secondary. While watching the game i knew that once Brady eluded the initial pass rush, he was sure to find his open reciever and complete a pass. This game really scared me and I think that if we can't establish a pass rush we won't beat the pats if we do see them again in the playoffs.

I'd take Haynesworth in a heartbeat. He's got his money already. Ryan will get him to play and he'll be cheap after this year. Remember - Jenkins, Holmes, Cromartie, Edwards all were traded because of bad attitudes or off the field problems. Put Haynesworth on a team with a coach that is positive and some role model like Jenkins and he may become the beast he was with the Titans.

Yeah, the only one of our front 7 that's irreplaceable is Harris, but if we get a starting-caliber NT, an OLB who can pass rush, and some young players for depth, I think we'll be set. It'll be interesting to see what happens with Jenkins.

Don't forget a safety that can at least partially cover.
