I think what we're witnessing is Douglas putting his stamp on the team. I'm looking forward to it.

Or he’s just shaking all the crud off of it first.

Either way, I’m good with it.

I'm not surprised Polite has been cut at all. All he has was speed, and not a lot of that, and when he actually engaged with an opponent he was very easily over powered.

Not an NFL player in any way!

Life comes at ya quick. An all-winter Round 1 expectancy, to ending up being a third rounder, to not even making your teams 53-man.

    Welp...

This certainly should have been the case, I couldn’t give you one good reason why it wasn’t.

I'm puzzled why Douglas only claimed 4 players, but hopefully there is a good reason. For one, how many players did the Cardinals and Niners claim? It's quite possible that some of the players they claimed, Douglas wanted. It's also quite possible that there weren't any CBs out there that are any better than those we already have or G. Williams didn't like/want them. I read recently that just as there is a shortage of OL in the NFL, there's also a shortage of quality CBs. The other issue with claiming more than 4 players is that players would have to be cut to make room. I'm already surprised to see some of the players who were released/waived.

I'm also puzzled why Douglas didn't claim Keelan Doss, but it's possible that maybe Gase didn't want him because he doesn't fit the profile for what he wants in a WR.

Edit: I just saw the list of players signed to the Niners' PS and no CBs. The Cardinals' PS isn't posted yet.

The Jags got Keelan Doss. I'll bet he gets activated to the roster at some point.

No one claimed either Laquon Treadwell or Josh Doctson. Kickers Sam Ficken and Elliott Fry are still out there. That's puzzling to me. Both had very good TCs and preseasons. I guess it's because they have no NFL experience.

He’s probably waiting for the analytics department to get back to him with their reports.

in other words, he was the defensive equivalent of hackenberg.

mac learned from the first time, and waited until the 3rd round to pounce.....

wait, did he have a 2nd round pick?
