I'm with you on this one. He has zero leadership skills, but if we pick up a QB in the draft, he could be used as a fill in until the new QB is ready.
Screw Brooks ? we need to go after Uncle Rico. That son of a bitch could throw the pig skin a quarter mile back in 82 ? how much could his arm have fallen off? He can still throw the damn ball over a mountain.
Isn't Bollinger a scrambler? How many games has Brooks actually won? Didn't he lose his job? Isn't Brooks the guy that actually turned around and threw the ball to the wrong endzone? If Brooks is your idea for a vet QB, you might as well just start Bollinger. At least Bollinger hasn't made a fool of himself....
that would be like cutting your finger off jus so you can try and stick it back on with chewing gum... made no sense? neither does this idea
For all of you saying NO to Aaron Brooks remember that when you ask for Vince Young to be drafted... same player.
Brooks? The only Brooks I'm interested in for the Jets is Bollinger. Aaron Brooks isn't a very good QB.
Bollinger and Aaron are on slightly different ends of the scrambling spectrum Bollinger does it to avoid a sack only Aaron does it to gain yards and avoid sacks and ive seen aaron make some pretty amazing throws while moving, bollinger...not so much
so your saying you would rather have brooks bollinger as your franchises starting QB than aaron brooks?? there is something wrong in your head
Neither one of those guys is a franchise QB. If we're starting either one, they'd just be a place keeper for someone like Jake Cutler. Aaron Brooks is a very mediocre QB. We don't need him.
Obtaining Brooks as your starting QB would be career suicide for Mangini.Best option would be to go with Bollinger until your Rookie QB is ready to take the reins.
I figure that Vinny and Fiedler will be gone. Bollinger will keep the seat warm until Cutler can start.
