1/2 way there. Enermax PLATIMAX 1200w PSU Also waiting for these damn HDD prices to drop back down...they are unreal right now.
lmao... well there were quite a few delays from the mfgs. Even now the mobo is nowhere to be found, the proc just got back in stock. All Nvidia GTX 680 are MIA and AMD just got their top cards back on the market also. Add to that the fukin floods in thailand killing the HDD market and this rig is gonna get done after the myans come back...lol
HA! Just received the 3930k today and the MOBO showed up in stock so I just ordered it.... Other than HDD's, 1 piece left to go! I'm off to get it now... :breakdance:
An H100 is serious business, you trying to push 5ghz or something? We'll have to have a benchmark battle one day. I have a 2500k on a gigabyte g1.sniper 2 board and an H70 cooler, the new GTX 680 (God's own video card, seriously. Battlefield 3 on ultra settings (light AA/filtering) at 120 fps.) and I run at 4.6ghz. I've gotten it to boot at 4.9, but it's not very stable. I was trying to get that elusive 5.0.
I haven't even begun the process of thinbking of OC'ing yet...lol. Put it together to test and I've got some serious wire mgmt. to setup. I'm not much of an OC'er but wanted to make sure my Proc runs kool as there are nights where I have a 24hr session of music/video production. That said, you know I'm gonna test it out though. btw, I love this Video card. I looked at the GTX690 but that shit was @$1000 bux. Also looked @ your GTX680 but at the time it couldn't be found and I really prefer AMD cards especially for the eyefinity....:breakdance: EDIT: oh yeah... I'm gonna install SCII Tonight... See if I can MAX Out the settings!!! I was going to go ASUS or Gigabyte but Needed the SATA ports. How are you liking your rig?? 5.o? That may be a pipe dream for us without a modded cooling system...
I'm not gonna try to get 5.0 outta mine even with the unlocked proc and watercooling. 4.2ghz is good enough for what I do. Everything in those pics looks great Tee. Let us know if baby cries or frys..
I've been working on the sweet sweet Succulent Beast, check these specs. º Processor: Intel 8088 running at 4.77 MHz. (The very first ones shipped with 16Kb and supported a maximum of 64Kb). º ROM Memory (Read Only Memory): 64 Kb. º Graphics Capabilities: Depends on installed Graphics card. Starcraft isn't super demanding, you'll be able to run it maxed out without issue. As for OCing, low 4's are super safe. I idle in the mid 30's C. 60-65 degrees on a full load torture test. As for the GTX 680, I had to pay a small premium and get mine off ebay. It absolutely blows away the two 465s I had running SLI, by itself. For me, the choice was obvious:
