Curtis Martin HOF Semi-Finalist

Screw the hall of fame ; when is Klecko going in ???????

 

Both deserve to be in the HoF. Curtis Martin was a solid running back year after year after year after year... Parcells was an amazing coach who made teams amazing. Came to the Jets, made us great. Went to the Patriots...well, set them up for greatness. Giants.

 

I actually remember, after Martin's first NFL game where he put up something like 104 yards in a good effort, Parcells saying, "Let's not put him in Canton just yet."

Bill was right at the time, but now both guys deserve to be in. Martin's departure was one of the biggest personnel losses in Patriots' history in my opinion, but I followed his career closely after that. Not only was he a great runner, but he was a class act. I hope he gets in.

 

He is very deserving of the HOF. He (And Chrebet, but that was mostly Jet fans) was the first player since Namath that the Jets had that was loved by non-Jets fans.

 

Well that would hurt his chances now wouldn't it...

He should have got in last year. Martin you are the man and my favorite Jet all time.

 

I remember a game where Bruschi was pointing at Martin and the very next play Martin ran Bruschi over. It was awesome.

 

Hopefully Martin gets the nod this time

Martin should get in this year. Last years class was stacked with great players.

Parcells was with the Patriots in 1980. Ray Perkins hired him in early 1981 I guess. How much of a role did Parcells have in the Giants drafting Taylor in 1981? I don't know.

I'm with nyjunc. I don't want to give Parcells too much credit because I think Taylor would have been great anywhere.

Also, many teams used the 3-4 in the 1970s. Parcells actually was not doing anything all that unique in the 1980s.

Sadly at this point, probly never. Its too bad becasue IMO he is the finest DL to ever wear Jets green and well deserving
