bro, i have been reading your shit for quite some time now, and i've never said nothing cause this is a fan site, and i dont wanna hate on any met or jet fans, but you are the most NEGATIVE person that i know on this site. you constantly question manuel, willie when he was here, you think you know more than those guys. all i ever read from you is, why? why? why? why? why? that was stupid, dumb move, take him out, why? why? why?
The other one is even more negative. It's a major reason why I try to be humorous and wacky in these threads. There has to be some sort of balance.
You really are a clown, aren't you? In case you didn't notice, he actually did strike out. That's not being negative, that's seeing that he has been awful all year in those situations. I defended Willie for about 2 years, until it became clear that he was an awful manager who would never learn from his mistakes. I am thrilled he is gone, and am proud to say it. I have defended Manuel many times, particularly with respect to some of the comments of 3rdand15. I would love to have people like MSU, Yisman, Penning10toColes, P 2 C, etc. chime in here on their opinion about whether I'm so negative. In case you haven't noticed, the Mets have been tanking in September for the second straight year, and that has led to many posters making comments about how awful they are playing.
I think that if any Met fan wasn't a little negative than there is something seriously wrong with their bodies. Your negativity is about average of just about any other Met fan. And the Pirates don't help at all, we are still tied with the Brewers.
grand slam. Brewers win. Still tied for the wild card. Weeks singled, was bunted to 2nd, Durham intentionally walked for some reason, Cameron struck out, Counsell walked to load the bases with Ryan Braun coming up... and Braun takes Chavez deep. 5-1
I thought the text poll was interesting tonight, asking where the Mets would finish the season, and 70% said out of the playoffs. Theoretically the Mets have the advantage, although they do have to start someone completely awful on Saturday they have their best 2 pitchers going the other 2 games. And the AAA Cubs should still be better then the Marlins.
To quote Frank the Tank, everyone needs to KEEP THEIR COMPOSURE. WE CAN'T HAVE ANYONE FREAKING OUT OUT THERE! And yeah, ESPN randomly running this quote the other day is why I thought of it. I'm scared to death, yet excited as hell. I have no idea if we'll make the playoffs, no idea if we'll do anything then. All I know is that if they make it, my GPA is going to be bad news. Everything else is a total mystery...If we win 2 of 3, that should be enough to get a playoff, right? I have no idea.
Well we won a game that Pedro started so theoretically that cancels out what we blew last night, so we still have a shot at both WC and Division, I have no idea what to expect especially with the weather element that might be in play which could affect us and Philly. I also don't know how it will affect our rotation if we have to play a doubleheader, will we still go with a mystery man or will we play someone on short rest. I've already decided to just pay attention to the game today as you can stress yourself out too much thinking about different scenarios. No need to look at hypotheticals when it comes to this team.
the cubs gave us fits w/there aaa club, hopefully they do the same to the brewers. the cubs have a slight pitching matchup in that series
I give the Brewers the edge because I don't know if the Cubs will be playing to win. The Marlins are easily better than the AAA Cubs. Harden isn't pitching.
Are the Marlins even motivated at this point with their hopes for the season just ending recently? And don't underestimate one team owning the other. And since we have 2 ways still possible to get to the playoffs we naturally have a better chance.
statjeff22, here's a comment from you back in july, not september. I had zero expectations for this game anyway, but if Endy is going to screw up a fly ball like that Knight really has no chance. I wonder if he's going to get out of the 1st inning? I wonder if he's even going to get an out? can we put this to bed now?
i thought we already did? anyway look AJ everyone is negative about this team, i mean how could you not be..
I think the Cubs will try as hard against the Brewers as they did against the Mets. The Cubs don't like the Brewers. They may relish ending the Brewers season this weekend.
Who the hell takes the time to look up posts in July? Are you serious? Besides, the negativity among the Met fans occasionally makes me cringe (nothing like the negativity in the Jets forum, of course), but it's certainly not because of statjeff22. I don't really get this one, and it's not like arguing does anything.
