The Mets are trying to turn me into an NFL-only fan.

Meet the Teacher night was never so pleasant as when it gave me the opportunity to not see this crappy baseball team tonight.

I guess it is okay for Heilman to pitch right now since the Mets are losing.

(not watching game because to do so would be beneath me; found out Heilman is pitching after viewing boxscore on Yahoo!)

the mets used 2 PH that last inning and then inserted castro into the game without letting him bat. what fucking universe am i living in where you send up easley and chavez instead of castro when he's coming into the game anyway?

If the Mets miss the playoffs again, the team must be blown up. This will include the trading away of a star player, such as David Wright. This glavining, choking, collapsing, gutless, faggoty nucleus must be torn apart.

Yeah, because trading your best player who is also very young and very cheap is the way to get your franchise back on the path to success.

With any luck, we'll be the only team to ever give up 2 grand slams to pitchers from different leagues and win the World Series.

    Not counting on it though.

Well, I guess you can hope that Minaya keeps his job, since only he might be stupid enough to trade away David Wright.

I'll be there trying to get a scalped ticket, probably. Not sure what the point is other than my superstition. When I'm there, the Mets win. We could use a win.

We'd get swept by the Cubs, the way we are, but at least we could make the playoffs, I guess.

Wow, you lost to Jason Marquis? He'll be lucky to even be on our playoff roster.

FWIW, the Cubs are sending out Sean Marshall tonight, Zambrano tomorrow and Harden on Thursday.

look like not watching the games is a smart move......unfortunately i don't have the Jets to serve as an equally abysmal distraction tonight

Mets are probably going to lose 3/4 here and if they lose tonight they might as well pack it up and not even bother playing the rest of the games. Hopefully the Pirates can take a game from the Brewers so they'll be tied going into the final series.

I am not concerned about what Milwaukee does or not. if the Mets can't win their way in, so be it.

 I go to buy a $10 ticket, and I get charged $8.75 for the privilege of using their website. How disgusting. I'd rather scalp.
