At this point this is all just talk radio fodder. Given the way Sosa, the second biggest sports hero in Chicago after MJ, was destroyed on his way out of town, I wouldn't be so sure that A Rod would view going there as better than being in NY. And if the Cubs would trade their only healthy quality starting pitcher, they deserve to be cursed for another 100 years.

If we're being offered Prior and Wood, I would rather just keep ARod's meaningless hits. At least batting 8th he can't do as much damage as those two.

I hope if Paige calls Cashman with that offer BC doesn't even answer him, just hangs up the phone.

I want ARod gone, but I don't feel like making the Pavano party in Tampa a major attraction for the FA market.

That made me laugh out loud, which is bad, since I'm at work. (Good thing I now listen to podcasts all day, so people think I'm just laughing at that.)

No way they get Aramis Ramirez, he's a free agent.

I'm willing to bet you are absolutely right. I have a feeling there will be some sort of 3 team deal put together though. I can almost guarantee Lou will do everything in his power to get his hands on ARod.

Ramirez isn't a free agent. He has an option in his contract to opt for free agency at this stage, but no clear indication if he will. Signs seem to be that even if he does the Cubs are still favourites to bring him back.
