You don't? watch the video, he comes up way after the whistle and puts both hands into the face of light. i bet light gets at most a game, since he was already ejected. I can't imagine he gets 4 games as some people are saying. 4 games is an established punishment in the set of rules and collective bargaining agreement, a few punches being thrown almost never results in a suspension, it's usually just the ejection.

I mean looking back I can only find a few suspension for this, haynesworth, though that was pretty unusual as he attacked someone who was defenseless wit obvious intent to injure, 1 game for harrison for hitting a player with his helmet. 2 games for some guy in 86 for an attempt to injure harbaugh.

Honestly looking at how it's been treated in the past there is almost no chance he gets suspended, probably at most a fine if even that, a few punches thrown doesn't seem to have ever been cause for a suspension, and I doubt goodell wants to push the union on something minor, instead saving it for the off the field stuff he has been doing.
ah here we go, not from an official website, but this is the listed punishment for fighting:
Fighting First Offense: $10,000 Second Offense: $25,000

I'm not seeing it from that angle. It looks like they both engage each other at the same exact time. Guys jaw at each other all the time. What Crowder was engaged in you see almost every game and Light is the rare exception who throws punches at a guy without his helmet. He doesn't swing and they both get offsetting penalties and stay in the game. So why does Crowder get thrown out?

That was my favorite part. How the fuck does he take a few punches to the back of the head and come away laughing!? Matt Light must be one fuckin' sissy or Crowder is hiding some pads under all those dreads.

Haha possibly. I guess in the grand scheme of things it doesn't change a thing. We got outplayed and outclassed and Crowder staying in there wouldn't have changed shit cause they were driving on us all game. I'm just sick of the favoritism

i agree completely, Goodell is so worried about the NFL's image, well brawling certainly shouldnt be tolerated. If a potential substance masking agent, (Chatman was suspended for testing positive for the masking agent) gets you a four game suspension, than i would have to think that starting would could easily have turned into an all out brawl should net at least the same length suspension, if not a longer one.

on a side note, since crowder got ejected as well, would anyone be surprised to see an equal or longer suspension on crowder? I wouldnt. Hell I could see light getting a game a crowder getting 4 for "starting it"

My true hope is that crowder gets at most a minor fine, and Light gets a lengthy suspension without pay 6 games would be nice...

Didn't an NHL player get charged with assault for attacking a player with his hockey stick a few years ago?

Matt Light should be charged with assault for blatantly attacking a player with his helmet off once he realized it was off.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind if someone took Light into some back alley and reeducated him on the definition of pain.

What a waste of life piece of shit.

Matt Light is a Patriot. He'll get a fine and no suspension.

Yes, you are probably right and I wonder how long the rest of the world has to put up with Goodell's blatant favoritism. He is destorying the NFL. I wonder when his contract comes up for renewal.

If this scumbag doesn't get suspended it will be blatantly obvious the Kraft is in Goodells pocket.

I agree with everyone else--this should be more than 4 games because its not a "victimless" crime like steroids. Because he still had his helmet on and was holding the guy by his hair, if this had happened off the field, Light would be in jail. I'm glad Crowder didn't get hurt.
And even if Light gets suspended, look for some payback next season.

He's not gonna get suspended. He'll get fined a few grand. He's a patriot and Goodell doesn't have a ballsack.
