yea....sorry about the lack of cheering on my part. it's just kind of hard when my team's qb is throwing a pick every other pass attempt.

I too cancelled the tailgate based on WEATHER.COM 90% chance of showers. So much for weathermen. At least they had the wind forecast right. It felt like January out there .

The crowd was awful, as great as the Pats game was this was just the opposite. The team gave us no reason to be into it. I have been to 150+ home games in my life and have seen tons of bad football games but this was right up there as one of the worst.

I was there and the crowd was dead....4pm game against the bills, they let the bills hang around, and people begin to feel the season slipping away. Same Old Jets...people just expect the worst and this team has delivered after getting off to a 3-0 start and being the darlings of the NFL.

For those long time season ticket holders, history was not on our side yesterday. Thankfully I had a previous engagement, and didn't have to sit and watch that garbage. Now, unless they beat the Raiders by 21, you won't see me at the Dolphins game either. SOJ.

No rain for the entire game...

Crowd was not loud at all.

According to Rex, Week 2 was the Superbowl. Hard to get up for post SB games.

Look for many, many more empty seats in the years to come:

    1) Many more seats will be owned by corporations, not individuals, and used even more as perks and tax writeoffs as they are used today. As such, the tickets will be doled out to many more out-of-towners and probably a lot less true Jets fans.

    2) Ticket prices will be through the roof and unaffordable by true Jets-fan families, who will be priced out. If the holder of record does want to sell, he'll be asking a lot more on eBay or StubHub to recoup his expenses than he is today. Again, unaffordable for most local Jets fans.

    3) Today's stadium offers cover for at least some of the seating. The new stadium is far less fan-friendly in terms of cover and the views are higher and shittier for most (further away). Little or no cover on a windy, rainy day like today translates into even more no-shows, as true Jets fans and their families eventually realize they are getting lousier views of the game, a further hike to their car, more hassle as far as tailgating, no cover from the rain and paying far more to go to a game than they ever paid previously. Result: empty seats.

The Jets have already somewhat priced themselves out of a live audience and that will only be exacerbated by the new stadium, IMO. After the initial thrill of going to the new stadium wears off, expect a lot more empty seats in 2011 and beyond.

I tried to get people around me to be loud. They just had this sour look on their faces while sitting down on pretty much every play.

The weather was not that bad.

I sat at 340..got to the stadium at 11am. Tail gating trying to hype up the crowd with J E T S chants honking car horns. It was fucking frigid outside, but when I got inside it was fine, but yeah the crowd was being puss.

Nothing new. The second it gets cold the no-shows start to appear. That's why Woody should have built his own stadium in NY with a retractible roof like he wanted to in the first place. We have 30 years of no shows to look forward to thanks to Woody's decision to split an outdoor stadium with the Giants. Now, people will respond by saying domes are for wussies and yada yada yada, but you're not going to get the amount of no shows in a comfortable stadium than you would outdoors on a day like yesterday when it's shitty out, and that's a fact...though I was able to grab some seats at the 50 in the 8th row so it's not all bad.

Jets sucked yestereday, they sucked so bad a lot of fans assumed the would beat the Bills so why bother showing up. Meanwhile they lost to a team that only generated 16 points in a full game plus OT. The weather was stinky, I went and it was not as bad as I thought weather wise. Funny thing I was sitting right behind the Bills FG kicker and he was switching shoes and practicing kicks and was fully focused whole game. WOW what a shocker he kicked the winning goal. Was he the only one who showed up to play.

They sucked so bad checked stub hub this morning and people cut dolphin ticket prices from yesterday!!! My brother in law who has season tickets 25 years always said if you can't go to a November or December game get rid of the tickets early as by November or December you can't give them away cause 90% of times Jets will find somewhay to F@CK the season.

Nah. Instead of 15,000 Dolphin fans there will be 20-25,000.

bottom line is there are 8 home games a year and we as jets fans that have tickets should be attending these games regardless of rain or snow especially this early in the year no matter what.

This stubhub ad tells all you need to know about how bad a deal expensive PSL seart are. We are not that bad a team, we get one chilly day and a few losses and it is only mid October and fans are selling Jets tickets for $265 dollar UNDER FACE VALUE!!!!

I will be at this game and I find it disturbing.

If? If? They didn't win the writing was on the wall. It's wasn't a theory it was plainly evident. When your team gives up, you're not gonna win. Football is a game of will. You lose the will to win as a Team and your game is over.

But just to humor hypothetical wonderland.

If they won. Congratulations! Thomas Jones just rushed for 210 and you squeaked out a win by 3 points in overtime after failing to hold a lead. You must feel awesome at 4 and 2.

It would have been almost as bad as a loss. It gave me no confidence that they'll bounce back and bury the raiders.

This is a game we should have won by 2 td's. With 300 yards rushed on the field and you can't punch through 3 td's? Something is seriously broken. Good teams don't do this. I know who I would blame but that's not the point.

My first ever home jets game and I was in section 108 row 13. I could not believe the number of fans that sit during the game. I'v been to 10-15 Bills games and they never sit...ever. It is pathetic and the look on some peoples faces when you are going crazy is like" sit down and watch the game!" I'm a life long Jets fan and always will be but now probably just from home on my 50inch HD TV, fuck I am louder in my home than my section was today....Fucking Pathetic!
