Umm, yes that is a disaster waiting to happen. The only thing that works to our benefit is that the steelers o-line is horrible, and we need to hope our d-line can make it a tough day for big ben. But, if ben gets time, and or extends plays, neither of those corners are going to be able to cover antonio brown or sanders.
All things considered it's the best time for Cro to get some r&r. Every team has to face injuries, last season was far more devastating. Wilson and Walls can get the job done; even with Cro the strength of this defense is not our secondary. Stop the run, make plays up front, hit the quarterback, good things are going to happen.
Jets' DL vs. Pit's OL... no excuse to not get to Roethlisberger. Pit's OL is atrocious. Only question is whether or not Ben can wriggle out of the rush and corners/safeties stay with the play. Pit is bad this year. Antonio Brown is very good, but Sanders is only average at best and nobody else on that O is worth a damn. If you're going to be missing corners, better this week than probably any other one.
With Ben's ability to extend plays it gives Pitt the opportunity for big plays. Even in the rain NE would have torched our secondary if not for their receivers failures. Locker tore our secondary up. Atlanta did the same. Manuel did not do half bad for the typical rookie. We need some genius from Rex this week and some help from Pitt turning the ball over. We may have to depend on our offense to come up big on Sunday.
According to Rex's PC, Cro is only questionable to play. He mentioned it could be a gametime decision. That bodes well for his injury being minor, even if he doesn't play this week. Milliner and Holmes are out, though.
Cromartie expected to play http://espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/sto...ected-play-vs-pittsburgh-steelers-source-says
Woohoo go Cro. Huge gain for us. Steelers have Miller and 1 receiver going right now. Having our number 1 corner will help a lot in this game. I expect a low scoring 13-10 type game. If we can find a way to get to 20 points I cant imagine the Steelers offense playing well enough to win.
Awesome news. The fact that he was listed as questionable was giving me hope that he'd play this Sunday. If it was really that bad they would have ruled him out considering he suffered the injury on Thursday.
