Jim Leanard broke his ankle after he made an interception in a game- he came down with leg under him and reciever draped on his back. Players have stabbed themselves with scissors at home, cut themselves with Hedgeclippers etc... it happens Can we stop posting one thing on here- Millner was not injury prone at Alabama- I believe he missed one game in years, won two national championships and played the best competition week in and week out. The shoulder operation he had after season was like getting a knee scoped, if he had the injury in season he would have played til the offseason and had repaired. Snake bit a little bit yes, injury prone, no.
Milliner had already two knee surgerys and has steel rotators implemented by doctors , he doesnt have a big injury past enen tho he said he played trough pain in alabama mostly. He is a tremendous talent top 5 in 2013 draft, if not that surgery past, cant blame rex to see him seated at 9 and take a shot at him after tavon was gone.
i could see walk through on friday but wednesday and thursday are the ONLY days that you would be able to do anything. it sucks but things are going to happen.
They aren't awful, but with Big Ben being able to extend plays, I can't see Wilson and Wills (Wilson especially) being able to stay with receivers for a prolonged amount of time.... Defensive line is going to have to have a huge game.
I don't see bionic ben extending plays against this front. I hear something.... Timberrr! Chopping that tree down this week.
Agreed, Cro isn't the best covering smallish, fast, shifty receivers so it may not hurt as much against the Steelers with Ben getting chased and trying to buy time to find those small guys. The Pats rhythm passing game also isn't suited to Cro's strengths but not having him out there puts added pressure on the others and severely weakens the depth of the secondary. They're going to be gassed and unable to sub in as Rex tends to go primarily with nickel and dime packages against the Pats and you know that is setting up for Pats to have a big 2nd half of the game.
True story. WHile this injury hurts, its not like the STeelers have a big lengthy reciever like Juilo. This is where Cro excells based on his wingspan and high/speed. We all know he struggles with smallsh Welker, A. Brown type recievers. We should be able to hold the fort down and I hope he is back to match up against Colston.
This week, the safeties will have to be used as corners. You will have Walls on one side, Wilson on the other, Trufant at the nickel, then when Steelers use more WR's, have Bush, Landry, Jarrett, Allen on the field at the same time.
This is absolutely correct, and it makes me really nervous. This matchup was never a slam dunk, but, without Cromartie, it seems like the talent level has really evened out. Not only will there be more pressure on our young (but talent) secondary, but the entire offense may have to put up more points than they might have if our defense was healthy. Not complaining though - injuries are part of the NFL.
Not sure, from what I've read here he hasn't practiced all week and rookies that don't practice generally don't play. If he doesn't practice again today I'd say he's not playing against the Steelers.
