The best corner in the league doesn’t overrun to the corner of the end zone in Pittsburg.

which was Nagles point. you can't even dare to claim you are the best CB in the league if you get beaten on those plays, nevertheless even second best. by your argument, from Cromartie's position, Revis is the only CB who would not have been beaten by Wallace and Hartline on those plays because he was the best CB and now that Cromartie is only the best CB by default, that doesn't mean he actually is the best in the game and thus should be expected to have been able to make those plays. I feel stupid having just typed that out.

Cromartie is better than your average #2 CB, that's for sure. He's more like a 1.5, while Revis is better than #1. Revis has spoiled us, but Cro is a quality CB. Maybe not the best in the league, but he's up there. He'd be a #1 guy on more than half the teams in the league. I think our defense will be slightly different this week, but for the better. More schemes and more beef up front. I'm not worried about the secondary at all. I'm worried about the LBs setting the edge and covering Davis. Maybe Mcknight will handle this role :)

Big fan of Cro. Don't have a problem with his statement.

Didn't one of the Giants corners say he thinks he is better than Revis last year before the SB. This stuff happens Id rather him be confident and ready to step up instead of saying well I know I'm not Revis but I'll try my best.

he hasn't proved it. Giving up that 40+ yd catch to Heartline and a TD to Wallace.

How does that make him a dumbass? Everyone should be playing with this kind of confidence instead of this 'woe-is-me' attitude because the best player on the team is out.

I hope I'm not crazy but I think Cromartie may play better now that he is the #1 then he did at #2..more focused. We will see. It's Wilson who will catch all the shit now.

When Revis was out with the hammy a few years ago Cromartie definitely held his own.

Cromartie will be fine. Whether he's the best, top 5, top 15, who cares. He'll be fine. He won't be Revis, but there's no other Revises out there.

Cromartie has ridiculous physical talent. He's not very good at covering short routes, and he has poor awareness, but he's a good player. Hopefully, he takes this as an opportunity to shine as the #1 guy.

Cromartie is a stupid bastard, and a comment like this only makes him look dumber. This guy's been a goat several times since being a Jet, and I'm sure it won't be the last. This team needs to be disciplined and Ryan needs to act more like a coach in this area.
