If Tanny plans to target anyone else, he'd better not have restructured all of those aforementioned contracts yet. With that guaranteed money, a low cap hit for Cro will create an even more tenuous situation next year.
“@TheJetsStream: With departure of Brad Smith, I was just told that #Jets do, indeed, plan on using @A_Cromartie31 on kickoff returns from time to time #nyj” From time to time makes me think playoffs and close games.
Our D-line was ass at taking up blockers last year for our LB corps. I think this year the pass rush should be better. For the 1 and 1/2 quarters or so that we had Kris Jenkins, our pass rush looked brilliant, so if Kenrick Ellis can go Kris Jenkins on these bitches, the Jets will be fine.
Antonio Cromartie : 8 INT since 2008 Nnamdi Asomugha : 2 INT since 2008 Safe to say that Cromartie is 4x better and 4million per year cheaper.
don't use numbers for football. Cro had 3 INTs last year, Revis had zero. So Cro is better than Revis?
I agree, but I'm hoping he shows flashes of brilliance off the bat. If he does, it'll open up big holes.
Cro as a kick returner could be good. The man hates contact so much he will do everything he can to take it to the house each time.
If you're talking just about the Jets, that's obvious with the injuries in consecutive seasons to KJ. You can't really make that argument going back, though. While the 06 and 08 Ravens were dominant (especially 06), I don't see how you can call 05 or 07 units Top 5.
Yeah, expecting anyone.. let alone a rookie from Hampton to step in and be remotely close to the dominant force Kris Jenkins was when healthy is just unrealistic. But Ellis can hopefully contribute this year. I'd expect more in the run game than in the way of pass rush help though.
