Good two out of three need to Get the Big Cat back next and look for a safety.
On a side note I cancelled direct tv and went with uverse because of the price and service were just horrid. I still get the games at a bar and online. ending up saving a few hundred a year

Cromartie's new deal might be for 8 million per but that probably isnt the cap hit. Remember Holmes got 10 million per and his cap hit was only 2.5 million.
It would'nt suprise me if Cro's cap hit is only around 4 mil. I think the Jets still might have a few million of cap money to play with. So who is the next target?

If Cro actually did pass up money that'd be even more ironic after all of his insistence that we weren't getting a hometown discount and everyone else speculating we'd have to overpay because we left him hanging :p

I suspect the other teams did offer similar deals, maybe a little more on paper but less guaranteed. Or he decided to take less after all just cause we were the only contender offering him that deal, and when he said he was all about the money he figured more than one playoff team would give it to him.

Who are the Rangers? Is that a new NFL team I haven't heard of yet?

Very excited to hear this. Now I can finally be excited for this season. Really touch and go so far with this off season.

Glad to see Cro back. Now hopefully we can still resign #92 and possibly even bring in a safety.

$20m guaranteed. Pretty much bang on what I said it would be on a 4 year deal (predicted $18-20m). So it's market value, no discount and not really cheaper than the Joseph deal.

4yrs 32 mill with 20 guaranteed... mmm, in the end we overpaid but I thought we were going to overpay more so that's ok. Also if the total MAX number is 4/32 it means the base salary will be around 7 mill a yr + bonuses + a big last year.

Seems fair considering what the market dictated...

I think we got a pretty good deal for Cromartie. So much for the stupid theory that he would never resign with the Jets after we dared to offer a contract to Asomugha.

This is a big signing. No way the Jets could afford to go into next season with Wilson as a starter.

We know he has isses but this was the best thing for us after the Nnamdi mess. I'm glad we took a shot at Nnamdi and still were able to get cro back. It didn't really cost us anything(I don't think we were getting Brad Smith back anyway).

He's tall and still relatively young...signed for what should be the prime of his career and, pretty much, right at market value. Gotta like it.
Good news before I head out for my little 4 day vacation.

Tanny will also free up cap room once Harris is signed long term, yes? Let's say he is able to free up another $3-4M of cap by signing Harris. Who else can he target with that money?

Excellent deal to have two of the top five CBs on our team. Now, about our safeties...

He's very young in relative terms. This will be his 6th year and it will be scrabble's 9th.

Great signing.. you need 3 or 4 reliable corners in the league these days, especially having to go through Peyton and Brady to get to the Super Bowl.

Now if Wilson progresses like we expect, we could end up with 3 very good corners and give Rex a ton of flexibility on what he wants to do. I still expect Tanny to pull off a trade though and bolster the D, whether at safety or linebacker.

Thank God this deal got done!

Great deal too, looks like we got a home town discount.

If Aso got $12 mil I thought Cro would want $10 mil.

Would love to see us get one more big guy like Zack Miller, Manny Lawson, or Aubrayo Franklin.

More likely we will be looking at one year bargain basement offers to guys like Brunell, Ellis, Woody, or guys cut by other teams.

We should at least bring Ty Warren in for a physical.

I'm happy to have Cro back, but just out of curiosity, who the hell is in your top 5?!
