Everyone knows about the Jack's distillery in Tennessee, but if you ever visit Nashville you MUST go to the Yazoo Brewing Company. Free samples on the tour http://www.yazoobrew.com/home.php
My latest haul. 6 pack of Firestone Union Jack IPA 6 pack of Ithica Flower Power IPA 12 pack cans of Boulder Beer Hazed & Infused
Most of you guys won't ever get to drink these seeing as they're almost all Ontario Beers and are sold regionally but if you're in Toronto or anywhere in Ontario here are some suggestions: Kawartha Lakes Brewery Railway City Brewery (Dead Elephant is good) Mill Street (Tankhouse and Organic are great) Grand River Brewery Muskoka Lakes Brick
Finally got my hands on a few bottles of Rogue's Voodoo Doughnut Maple Bacon Ale. I was expecting something over the top sweet, but I thought the Maple Bacon Ale was pretty well balanced between the Maple syrup and the smokey bacon. Surprised by the poorish rating on Beer Advocate.
Lagunitas in the fridge. Blue Point Summer on the course today. Yard House is opening with a planned 180 taps soon here. Cant wait for that.
That Hazed & Infused is good. I really like Obovoid as well. We don't get Boulder distributed here in Texas but I got ahold of some in Boulder's pub in the Denver airport.
The only beers that get good reviews on BA and ratebeer are intensely hoppy, sour, or over oaked. Those sites are virtually useless.
that's great stuff. I live only a couple miles from that brewery right now. It's way better from the tap!
I havent opened them yet. My only experience has been from the tap. Stuff is magical. Going to a Lagunitas tasting tonight.
Save water drink beer! If you enjoy Porters, try this if available in your area. It's the perfect fusion of Kona Coffee and Beer.
I saw in the store yesterday that Chimay put out a special 150th (or something) anniversary edition. Was going to pick it up but balked at the $22 price tag. Anyone out there try this yet? If so let me know if it's worth it.
The reviews I've seen don't suggest it's worth $22 for the bottle but I don't know, maybe I'll pick up a bottle. I have a 2010 3L bottle of Chimay Gran Reserve I paid about $75 for so I guess $22 isn't outrageous for a 750ml.
Finished my Christmas shopping just now 4 six packs of the Southern Tier. 4 more of the Jewbelations. Which is amazing stuff.
