I grabbed a 6 pack of the Vienna Style Lager the other night. It's extremely local. Don't even know if you can get it outside if Nevada but it was tasty.

Not that it's craft but I had a Killkenny the other night. Forgot how much I liked them.

Went to a local bar for lunch, they usually have some tasty brews on tap.

I had a Port Brewing Wipeout IPA and then a Stone IPA, both brewed in San Diego and easily two of my top 5 favorite IPAs.

Unfortunately after the Wipeout, the Stone IPA was nonexistent on the palate.

Needless to say, I only had Wipeouts after the Stone.

Stone is still my favorite brewing company with Sierra coming in second (solely based on their ability to produce Celebrations, Big Foots, and Torpedos flawlessly year after year).

Green Flash is tied with Victory for third. They were easily number 1 until they put their West Coast IPA in 4 packs and blamed their decision on the price of hops and fuel.

Bear Republic comes in at 4, the Racer 5 IPA is fantastic as is their stout.

Pizza Port and Port Brewing roll in at 5, they need to brew more styles of strong beers in order to move up.

There are quite a few brewpubs that I love tremendously. They are scattered throughout this wonderful country and their ability to provide such fresh beers in their bars is awesome. Fresh IPA is awesome, the hops are so fragrant and tasty, the malt although present is almost missing because of the hops overwhelming burst.

God, I love beer so much.

Oh yeah, I'm drinking a shitty Harpoon IPA because it was left over from the weekend and I need to get them out of the beer fridge. My cousin-in-law brought them over yesterday.

Hey so the question is once a beer starts being sold at Sam's Club is it still in the "craft beer crowd" I saw some Dogfish at my local Sam's the other day.

I've been on anti-biotics for what seems like the whole summer due to this strep throat which won't go away. So my beer consumption has been lacking. Oh well, as long as I'm healthy for the best two beer seasons, fall and winter.

The best beers are around for football season :).

I got a bottle of St. Peter's Golden ale on Saturday -- I wish I bought 3 or 4. Man this stuff was good.

St. Pete's ain't bad, but for the price you can do a lot better.

This is a thread I'm gonna miss Chris in a lot.

I'd really enjoy ragging on him right now for the Bud Lights in his hand in RoyalTee's tailgate photos.

I'm enjoying some mad elf from either last year or the year before. How wonderful its 11% ABV is. Oh yeah.

Unfortunately I forgot to use my Mad Elf Chalice (stole it from a bar a few years back :drunk:). Oh well, my Troegs pint glass does a good job.

Bought a 6 pack of it last weekend because I am a Guinness fanboy.

It was a good beer. Nothing amazing but it went down nice and smooth.

Guinness on tap is the best beer in the land. A pint goes down smooth, like a beer milkshake.

I hear it tastes better on the other side of the pond. Something about the water they use over there.

Anyone who has it on both continents care to confirm or deny?

There's a pub that brews Guinness on site, in Calgary (the pub is called The Barley Mill). I used to frequent it at least twice a week when i was working out there in 2001. Great memories. The food was good too, but the beer was amazing.

Anyway, I hear the Guinness out in the motherland (Ireland) is pretty awesome. So you might be right in your assumption.

The guinness black lager is tasty, but nothing special. Overpriced.
I don't know of it was MBG or UKK, but I've had the Guinness in many pubs over there, and yes, it's glorious.
Funny enough, I was drinking Harp tonight.

Scruggy, I've had the Robert Johnson Hell Hound Dogfish Head, and it's out of season now, but it's fantastic. 10 percent, too.
I've had enough Pumpkin and Oktoberfest the last month to kill a liver. I've had the Dogfishhead, Six Point, Smuttynose, Shipyard, Blue Point, Goose Island, Southern Tier, Saranac, Sammy, etc........I'm pumpkined out.
I had the Southern Tier on Cask at the Blind Tiger, very tasty.
