I agree with you if we're going to solely use his record over 2 seasons as the barometer for whether he gets canned or not. To be fair, it's not Kotite-like. My problem(s) with Bowles are more with his stubbornness regarding the QB, lack of game planning, seemingly zero half-time adjustments, supposed leaders giving very little effort and having discipline problems, his defense's inability to generate even an average pass rush despite having what should be a stud D line, allowing his OC to completely ignore the TE position, etc...
People have been talking about Cowher and Gruden on this message board since 2008. Those guys aren't leaving their cushy media gigs for the grind of leading an NFL team . . . especially not to join this quagmire of a franchise.
