Concordia College (Moorhead, MN) also produced all-pro DL Gary Larsen (one of the Minnesota Vkings "Purple People Eaters").
Little guy, ala Chrebet, all guts, like Steve Tasker, made every special teams tackle, moved on to the Bills and became a servicable receiver, gave 110% every play, we all chanted Lou after everyone of his punt returns, I had a Piccone 89 jersey...a huge fan favorite, one game in '76 vs Bucs the team was so bad they introduced the special teams and Lou came out 1st and the crowd went nuts, he had a 60 yard punt return for a TD that game and I almost fell out of the upper deck at Shea
Funny how age and perspective change things. When I was young, I always thought Biggs was huge, and I guess for that day he was, but now he looks almost skinny.
LOL Glad you didn't fall! Thanks for the reminder. I remembered his name, but not much about him. Now that you mention it, I do remember his being a very gritty player who gave it his all.
Yeah I love to post all the old guys, because it brings back great memories for me, being a season ticket holder at Shea
I had forgotten all about those bottle caps!!! I used to have a bunch of those. Wow. Thanks for the memory.
Sorry about your father, Stokes. My he rest in peace and may memories of good times together help ease your pain and sorrow.
