Oh jeez, are you really one of those people who believe Tebow was a publicity stunt? And also, how does bringing back Braylon do anything when 31 other NFL teams want nothing to do with him?
The Jets acquired Tebow for a million reasons. 1. A ton of media coverage and publicity 2. A legitimate backup quarterback (who is still young enough to improve) 3. Someone who might convince a couple people on the fence to buy season tickets 4. Wildcat/Sparano packages to replace Brad Smith 5. He's a big, big dude with interesting football ability that if used in the right way could pay dividends 6. Someone who can kick Sanchez in the ass by his presence and work ethic I don't think it's outlandish to say Tebow was a publicity stunt in some way. To say that's the only reason we got him is wrong, but to completely dismiss that aspect of it is a little naive, especially considering the way the Jets have operated lately.
