Joe Flacco has horrible pocket presence. The dude is a statue in the pocket - Sanchez has great feet and mobility to escape pass rushers and create on the fly. Flacco's doomed if his receivers are covered.

If there are no problem with his physical he will find a team soon enough. He is till a good receiver.

He'll find a spot on a team as a third or fourth receiver, because that's what he is.

Looks like that is what he is going to have to be unless he is gonna try to wait for an injury which would be silly.

He's still young, and has a lot of talent in him. Maybe he did have a herniated disk, but I find it hard to believe he played last year in pain. DGD or herniated disk is so painful, one just can not get off the bed, and if he can, he can run full speed and feel the affect a few hours later.

He'll EASILY be a 3rd on a team. He's not going to be a 4th on ANY team. He just won't go there. If he wanted to be a 4th, he would've stayed with the Jets.

I didn't say he wants to be a fourth. ...but that's what kind of spot he's going to get.

He's not as good as he thinks. He's not a starting caliber receiver, especially now.

    Stupid stats.

Those who go off of stats alone are doomed to never understand football.

Flacco's stats are better. But what most don't know is that he's maybe 4 games to two years away from being fully figured out.

LoL probably so. One could only hope. Money's money, but he made a stupid decision in this instance. Who is his agent?

Whenever he's been in a starting position, he's produced. Unless his injuries are still a lingering issue, I can see him being a solid #2 for some teams as a complement to a speedy / deep threat type player.

Ravens and Steelers don't want him. If the Giants don't take him where is he going to go? Maybe a late pickup for somebody who gets injured.

Cotch should have reconsidered, he wasn't walking into a good market. He'll make less and still be a #3 type for another team.

I think the point is that Cotchery felt he was being used less and less and wanted to start. The Jets situation is good, but I don't think he felt the Jets valued him that highly since we kept bringing guys in over him.

I think he goes to Baltimore or the Giants.

Now that I think about it I'm glad we got Mason and let Cotch go. Hearing a lot of good things about Mason so far in training camp.

Mason was a lot better player last year. If he doesn't decline, and Jericho is closer to what he was last year than previously, then it is an upgrade for sure.

Former Jets WR Jericho Cotchery will agree to terms today on a one-year contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers. More at ESPN.com

That makes sense Jerricho, go from being a #2/3 WR and making more money w/ us to being a 4/5 option and making less w/ Pitt. oh well.

Cotchery really blew this one. He's at BEST their #3 receiver, and that's unlikely with Sanders and Brown both already there an established. He would have been a much bigger part of the offense here, and probably paid better.
