Cotchery won't get less this season since all but less than 500 k was guaranteed. Id imagine he'd pull anywhere from 2 to 4 million per season. It's hard to tell, however , with his injury, low 2010 production, and the fact that he was released late in FA in a very short offseason. I can't imagine his Demand is super high considering how long it took Braylon to get signed

I don't know where he will get 2-4 as a third receiver and I haven't heard of anybody looking at him as a 2.

The Ravens AND Steelers have passed on Cotchery after visits. Interesting.

Wow. Thank God for that though. Didn't want to see him in either uniform. Hopefully someone from the NFC snatches him up.

I thought the Steelers offered the#5 WR position. (not joking)

I think he hasn't healed yet.

For some reason I see the Giants making a run at him.

I'm not surprised the Steelers passed on him. Cotchery wouldn't take any time away from Hines Ward, Mike Wallace is coming off a +12k Yard/10 TD season, and Emmanuel Sanders is pretty much all that offense needs out of a #3 WR.

The Ravens seemed like a good fit for him since they don't have a proven player at the position outside of Anquan Boldin. They did spend their 2nd and 4th round picks on Torrey Smtih and Tandon Doss but you'd expect the CS would want someone with more NFL experience on the roster. The 11 WRs on the Ravens' roster combine for a total of 64 catches, all of which are Boldin's. Cotchery's back has to be in really bad shape for them to pass on him.

    Well, there's goes Baltimore...

    Per Rotoworld:

Sounds like J-Co isn't as good as he thinks.

It makes Tanny look really, really good.

Actually, it makes Cotchery look bad, more so than Tanny look good. He lobbied to get traded or released, he was accommodated out of respect.

I think he's still a starter in this league if he's healthy. However, it appears as though that just isn't the case. coming back from a groin injury and a back injury as a WR who was never a speed-guy and absorbed as many hit as Cotchery has is going to be a difficult challenge. I thought he'd bounce back but it looks like I might be wrong about that.
I'm not sure how good this can reflect on Tannenbaum given that he was simply granting Cotchery's request after Cotchery turned down overtures from Rex and Sanchez.

Mostly it just makes Cotchery look foolish for cutting ties with what seems to be a team that was willing to keep him.

The extra 2 million in 2012 salary is good but not "really really good".

Wow. The Ravens passed, given they lost Flacco's security blanket TE AND Mason? I didn't expect that, at all.

Word out of Oxford from a source close to Eli is he'd like to see Cotch there. I asked a friend about it today actually, I had the same awkward feeling.

10 bucks he wasn't signed because he couldn't pass a physical.

Cotchery can certainly play for the Ravens eyeballing their WR's, the Steelers as well. He over-played his hand and most likely misjudged his health. He went all in on the river without a great hand.

This is typical athlete shit, where they are not overly smart in business/health related matters.

They have two potentially good tight ends in Dennis Pitta and Ed Dickson, but they're unproven .

Tandon Doss and Torrey Smith are both very unproven at the wideout position too.

I'm not a big fan of Joe Flacco...never was. I think with Todd Heap moving on, Flacco's INT total will go up. He'll also get sacked more.

All really good points. I didn't know about their TE depth, though. Thanks for the info. And I agree on Flacco, I'm not convinced, yet, he's the QB they make him out to be. Time will tell, I guess.

Miamipuck- The Ravens allegedly said that J.Co passed their physical. If they're to be believed... Well... I don't even know.

Most NFL fans consider Flacco better than Sanchez. I never have felt that way. Sanchez is better in my eyes. Flacco had better stats last year, but come playoff time, one QB shines and the other is Joe Flacco.
