Coples had 3 sacks taken away due to personal foul hits as well and maybe one face mask, IIRC.

Guy will definitely hit double-digit sacks next year. Him and Mo Wilk should be able to dominate for the next 5 years. Now just to get the offensive side of the ball going...easier said than done.

Yeah you're right, there was a couple times that he hit the QB in the facemask or yanked it so he didn't get the sack. I know in the Colts game he had 2 sacks, but he got a penalty I'm a sack for yanking Lucks facemask. There were a couple times that it happened, also, he could of gotten a couple more but he simply didn't execute the tackle well. All that will change in time, but I think that we can all agree that whenever he was on the field, he impacted the plays. Can't wait for next year to see what he brings.

I don't remember when, but I saw a report after he was drafted that someone said that he wasn't lazy, he was just so good that he made it look like he wasn't trying.

Where are all the people saying Chandler Jones was such a better pick by the Patriots? The guy doesn't have a sack since Week 8. Jones had 6 sacks and started fast but Coples finished strong and had 5.5 sacks.

Keep in mind Jones was basically a full time starter on the Pats and although he missed a few games due to injury, he got a lot more playing time than Coples who was really just a situational pass rusher until later in the season when he got some more playing time.

Mario Williams did it for a whopping 5 games and I doubt he was good in pass coverage. Coples is true hand on the ground d-linemen he isn't an OLB. An how is it illogical ? How many times have you seen Coples in pass coverage covering tight ends and having success. He doesn't because that's not his game.

That really speaks volumes. Jones is a 4-3 DE who is supposed to get a good amount of sacks. Coples is 3-4 and is supposed to create sack opportunities for others and break through himself occasionally. He does play a lot of 4-3 sets, however. Coples is going to be beast like in the future.
