Rex is a buffoon for continually rolling with the vets

    Same problem with Eric Smith.

I agree -- i think he needs to look in the mirror, watch the film, and shake things up -- make guys accountable -- greene goes to the bench and Powell starts week 5.

Coples should get a start...Maybin needs to step up or he will be a bust twice in 3 years.

I saw no imagination from that defense today -- looks slow, week, and physically over powered. Don't recall seeing a Rex defense look like that. If they got torced with the pass you could say Revis - but 250 yards on the ground ?? That is just the tougher guys winning the battle.

Should have drafted Jones. Kid plays hard on every down. Hes a freak with tons of potential. He already has a few moves and is much stronger at the poa. Another bust from this fo.

They kept us in the game until half.......The niners are a real ground and pound team....You can't keep the defense on the field all game or they will get worn down....This is what happened today. If Mark doesn't fuck us before the half this is a different game. You could see the entire team deflate after that bonehead turnover!

When Rex went to his pro day and worked him out as an OLB, and all I heard was that he didn't get winded.

Does anyone know or think he could play OLB in a 3-4?

    Thanks

Guy is a natural pass rusher and his best abilities is as a DE probably in a 4-3 but as a 3-4 player definitely as a DE. He's got a very good power move to get to the QB and he's stout against the run. He's too big as a OLB and he has no ability in pass coverage.

Mario Williams is a bigger athlete?

To say he has no coverage ability seems a little illogical. Have you ever seen him try? Rex tried him out, so he must have shown something.

Coples will break 10 sacks next season, But it's time to focus on offense for once we might have to let Landry walk so we can spend money on some new WR's, TE's and RB's enough of drafting DE's every year in the first round

a rookie leads his team in sacks, and is not an every down lineman. that is a good start.

What WR, TE, and RB is worth a 1st round pick? We have a weakness at 3-4 OLB, and I am curious if Coples can play OLB. If he can, that could change the whole direction of the draft.

Besides, the trenches are were the game is won, and if the FO did go DE or DT in the draft, so be it.

Part of my thinking of an OLB. I don't have a valid reason, but I can see him be a force at OLB.

I feel like the entire offseason needs to revolve 75% around the offense and 25% defense, We can find some OLB's in the 3rd or 4th round picks 1 and 2 need to be used on a guy like RB Eddie Lacy, Then take a shot at signing josh Cribbs and Greg Jennings let Braylon walk

This isn't going to fix anything, we don't have the cap space, Jennings is getting old and Josh Cribbs isn't a play-maker at the WR position.

Eddie Lacy with the 9th pick?

I hope we address the offense early this year. Did u not see how great we were with the ball? LB is another need, but offense needs more help than we do at LB.
