That's my read too but we really don't have the luxury of time to prove points to him. From everything I saw in preseason and week 1 we're just not the same D with him on the bench. If we really have lost Revis though guess it won't matter.

Anything we get from Maybin is a bonus, but it seems that pixie dust may have run out. The coaches can't keep Coples off the field forever. His attitude will be what it is but he's got freakish ability we just can't replicate elsewhere. It's not like he's the first guy with the reputation of a loafer in the history of sports, either. I'm just anxious to see what he can do to transform the D up front.

You can't call him a bust yet, but there are a lot of red flags. I hope Coples pans out and someone wakes him from his coma. The issue I have ...why draft someone that is know to be a lazy piece of shit in College? We passed on 2 high motor guys in Jones & Hightower that both happen to play for the Patsies.
Kenrick Ellis is taking a lot of snaps this season. Do the math. Wilkerson, Ellis and Pouha almost full time right now. Devito playing a lot. the Jets using 5 DB's a lot. Coples will get on the field more as the season wears on. Somebody will get hurt or just slow down a bit.
I really feel like we're going with the guys we have the money tied up in as opposed to injecting our youth. Coples barely playing meanwhile he had a very solid preseason and the snaps he does play hes usually in the backfield. Davis. With the very average play from harris, davis you would think would be getting more time somewhere. Maybin, for whatever reason just isnt on the field either and when he is they keep putting him in situations to fail. Why they keep sending him up the middle ill never know. Considering pace has been invisible i don't get why maybin isnt rushing off the edge more. I dont care if hes a one trick pony, hes the best we have off the edge and we arent using him.
