Mo and Que Caesar both played great.

I think he going to sack Brady at least 2x. They have a weak OL.

but we still need a set of fast, young lbs , to go with them.

    some depth at safety also.

Yep, we do need some LB help, but unlike a lot of folks here I'm happy with Harris as one LB. Since 2007 he's been the teams #1 or #2 tackler in every season save 2008. I think Davis will develop in to a fine linebacker. So really I think we only need 1 LB if we go with a 4-3 front or 2 LB's if we go with a 3-4 front primiarly. either 1 or 2 OLB's with at least one who's a good pass rusher.
I also happen to think that Ellis has been doing a good job in the middle, not getting a lot of stats but he is moving the OLine and getting push, and that's his main job.

And I really like what we're seeing in limited action from Allen at safety as well.

We really need, depending on where we draft at of course, OLB, T, G, RB, S, as primary needs in the draft, in that order. If we draft high enough to get an elite QB in the first round (doubtful) I'd make that the #1 pick. Otherwise in the 3rd to 5th round pick up a developmental QB who has experience, a strong arm and accurate but doesn't draw a lot of attention.

LOL. We all knew this was going to happen. Next week we unleash Coples on Brady. He's still got some things to clean up with his game (ie bad penalties), but he's really coming around. He needed to step up big today and he did.

I'll gladly take penalties if he emasculates Tom Gaydy on the field

I have one issue around Coples. Why hasn't he played more? He seems to be in the backfield consistently. An obvious playmaker.

I was pissed at the selection - I usually hate sleepy eye guys. But he's a player, and needs to be in more.

That falls on Rex and the staff. I also don't get it especially on 3rd down when they bring in Pace for him. Pace is a joke as a pass rusher.

He gets more snaps and he produces. Hopefully Rex and company see that and we see him a lot out there. If he can take down Brady once or twice I'll be very happy.

Pace is the worst player on our defense and maybe worst on the team

He played 30 of 71 defensive snaps yesterday and got to the QB a couple of times on blitzes.

Exactly what I was thinking....why hasn't this dude been starting? Is he really worse than Mike DeVito??

He's a rookie and he's been getting the hang of things. Rex was breaking him in slowly and properly. I have no issues with that at all. Let the guy develop, don't force it.

i think one reason he hasn't played as much is many rookies hit a wall around week 11-12. they get worn down a bit, injuries, as they obviously aren't used to a 16 game run.

especially the guys on the D line. i can see the jets or any team for that matter going a bit lite on these guys the first half of the season.

He has gradually increased his number of snaps. Yesterday he hit 55 of 71 snaps. I think this is typical for rookies, especially in the front 7 of a defense with so many different fronts.

I believe they gave credit for the sack in that situation.

That's debatable, the guy was too big. He couldn't move at all. If he had physical gifts he would have at least had a sack. All your sacks don't come from being smart, most of them just come from straight running through your blocker.

James Harrison isn't the smartest guy in the world, and he's big. The difference is he knows how to bend and use his entire body strength. Gholston just had huge biceps.
